If you live near a Michaels, cruise through their wedding stuff. They have books and all sorts of things to give you inspiration.
I second that

Seems like it would be an awful lot of trouble. Even if you knew what kind of wax and additives it had, you'd probably still have just as much testing as you do with your own. As for ethical, don't know, but I wouldn't feel right about doing it without their permission

I had this in one of mine but I'm do new I didn't know it was a bad thing lol I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. Thanks for sharing.
Well now... I don't really know if it's a bad thing. That's what I'm hoping to find out...lol. I'm just wondering if it ahs anything to do with my "air" problem

Holy Canoly that pic is huge!
Ditto!
but pretty candle anyway
-
The marble turned out good, but I love the colors in that chunk!
-
I like those. I never tried with the straight sided holders, but they worked well. I may have to try that way
-
You did a fantastic job on those!
And a pretty darn good job on rebuilding the gallery single-handedly
-
I really like that one

Don't worry if you accidently post in the wrong section. We have great mods who will move it where they belong
We were all new once and I don't think there's any of us who hasn't done that.
Oh yeah, welcome to CT

Gorgeous!

Oh, I like that!
Hmm.. just what does Tiramisu smell like?

I really like the looks of that!

Then there's the chickens like me who start with Melt & Pour soap

Do you heat the wax up to 200 for a while? I usually heat up to 200 for 15 to 20 minutes or until the wax is clear then cool down to add color and FO. I think the thread on fingernailing said to heat the wax up to 215 or 220 for 15 to 30 minutes.
Umm, yeah. I've actually tried it up to 250 for 1/2 hr and 300 for a few minutes during the sand candle disaster...lol. Didn't change

Love your sig Mikey! LOL

Must be working now, it let me vote
Prarieannie: it just doesn't like people who thump duck bills

Those look great. And I love the deer mold!

Only thing I've used cotton for was palm and it worked great

Yup, that'll work. I guess what I was thinking of was a particular formula for ending up with the right amount. In the case of 1/2 oz the difference isn't much though. Thanks!
-
The formula for figuring fragrance load?
Like, 3% load in 1 lb wax = ?? oz
I got spoiled with the Tip and FAQ's sections, and never wrote it down

All the side bar stuff is still accessable to every one here
Oh, duh! I even knew that...LOL
Thanks Vicky!

between poly bags and cello bags?
I am looking to get some but don't know which one to buy.
Thanks!
Cello are the crinkly kind, non shrinking. Though not all poly shrinks either.
Hopefully a more experienced "bagger" will chime in here
-
I got the shrink tube roll. 6" I think. Double duty for me, since I can cut it smaller and use it sideways for votives

I know people are starting to think I hallucinate the bubbles...LOL . Dang! Wish I had a better camera
