  1. Boo Hoo here too.....was hoping for a little more than $2 off the sampler pack. I guess for $2 each pack, I don't have to rush out an order this time around. Oh well.
  2. may I ask you what sized sprays your making & how much cyclo & how much fo to use? thanks
  3. Going to place my first order with KYcandle & was wondering if there are any MUST HAVE FO's. Thanks so much!
  4. Candlebean, thank you so very very much for chiming in! You are the perfect person to judge, if you know the WSP & liked it too! Now I will definitely try the KY. And what you said about it must go in a jar: that is all I needed to hear: perfect! Oh, and I have elephant heels to go with your elbows;) !Thanks again so much. Well now that I'm going to be ordering, any other "must haves" at KY? FO?
  5. Where did you buy the Love Affair candle, if it is ok to ask? Sounds great!
  6. checked it out, a little pricey, but thanks anyway.
  7. Just tried Just Scent's new Whipped Vanilla Creme & made it up in some body lotion & body splash & it is GREAT!!!! It smells just like whipped cream!
  8. I've been thinking about the KY soy whip butter. So many people seem to be buzzing about it. The only thing is, is it "thick" or "dense" or is it more of a light, airy "whip"? The thing I love about WSP's, is that it is a true, THICK BUTTER. We are not talking lotion or whipped mousse type. It is truly the perfect butter texture & feel & I love what the product does to the skin. It is just such a shame that I can't get the base scent to cover with most scents. If you could let me know about the KY consistency, that would be so great. Thanks so much.
  9. Does anybody use a premade body butter base that they love? I am currently using Wholesale Supplies Plus butter base & although I REALLY REALLY like the consistency & texture & how it sinks in & softens, etc.....I am having so much trouble scenting it. The plain base has a smell to it. I don't know how to describe it. It isn't foul, but it has a "base" smell to it & I don't want to exceed the allowable amount of FO that I add to it. I'm really upset about this because other than that, this is exactly the kind of butter I'd like to use. Any suggestions? Thanks much!
  10. I want an idea of how strong everyone else is making body sprays using Cyclomethicone & FO. Can you tell me how much of each you are putting in a 2 ounce sized sprayer? I'm doing .20 oz FO & I'm wondering if I can go stronger. I was also thinking of making 1 ounce sizes as a "try me" product, but don't know what amount of FO I'd put in that. Can someone who is happy with their fragrance load in cyclo chime in. Thanks.
  11. I've seen alot about using Body Spray Bases & using combinations of Cyclomethicone& Fractionated Coconut Oil to make body sprays, but I never see much about using Perfumers Alcohol & FO to make sprays. I have never used Perfumers Alcohol to make a spray, but was wondering if any one else does? I'm assuming it makes a stronger, longer lasting spray, is that right? Would it be a 50/50 mix of PerAlco & FO? And do we need any special permits, or whatever, to buy & then sell products with perfumers alcohol in it? I guess I was just assuming, without actually knowing, that there must be some kind of catch to using it & maybe that's why so many people don't use it & go for the Cyclomethicone or bases instead. Or maybe it's the price? Can anyone chime in & set me straight? Thank you very much!
  12. Love both suppliers. Put yourself on the JS e-mail mailing list & every Saturday you will get an email telling of the weeks specials(new one EVERY week) & then give you a code for e-mail list only extra-specials. I'd definitely try a sampler from JS to try some out. The only complaint I have from JS is that they don't do USPS priority anymore & their shipping prices have gone up a little bit. But on the other hand, you'll get your order processed usually, same day. I also agree: great customer service. You should do a search on here on threads about JS. Some people have mixed feelings & list particular oils that didn't work well for them, so maybe you can avoid those few oils. But I LOVE their oils! and they have GREAT sales which change EVERY week! As for FOH, I only use 3 oils from them & they are great. Great customer service, as well.
  13. I remember seeing a thread on this either on this board, or another one, last year & you are right: that oil doesn't exist. But I remember people all putting in their suggestions of how to make your own blend of it. People mentioned mixing yellow cake & marshmallow & even some sugar scented oils, although I've never come across an oil that actually smells like sugar. Anyone have any ideas of how to come up with this? That would be great in the Spring around Easter time!
  14. Check here: http://www.scentforum.com/search-fragrance-oil.php Just type in: Candy Corn where there is a blank box to put fragrance oil name.
  15. Oh well! Next time! But it's ok for this time cause I was ordering other stuff as well. But good to know! Not a "buttinsky" at all! Hey, we should always tell each other where the good deals are. Thanks;) !
  16. I'm about to use WSP's Luxury Mist for the first time(will use it for myself & family/friends only, for now, until I've tested it extensively). I know some of you on this board use it & are happy with it. Could someone tell me how much FO I'd use if I were making small, one ounce sized spray bottles of it, in order to test many fragrances, in small testing batches? Thank you so much.
  17. Does anyone know where to get glass perfume bottles? Anywhere from 1/2 an ounce to maybe 1&1/2, or 2 ounces size? I can only find roller bottles in glass.
  18. Love the conditioner base, haven't tried the shampoo yet. The fact that the samples they sell are 4 ounces is great because you can actually make a single batch for yourself to try out. It says on their site that they are only an internet based co, no storefront, but it also says you may be able to pick up your oreder. This was in FAQ: Question : Can I pick-up my order to save on shipping? Answer : We are 100 % internet based, a customer storefront is not available. If you are local and cannot have your order shipped please call us at (951)817-8965
  19. Use & love their bottles, caps/lids/sprayers, I use their Hair Conditioner base . I've sampled their Whipped Body Frosting & it's great, as is their Original Hand & body moisturizing lotion. (I've even heard some word that their lotion & scrub bases may be the ones that JS is now selling.) They have an entire section, (http://www.essentialsbycatalina.com/shop/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=13&cat=Samples, where you can order samples of practically everything they sell, bases & all. And if they don't offer it in their sampes section, they very generously have sent me large, 4 oz. samples for free! Shipping was fast too.
