Thank you all, I will go with the scented. I want the smell with it so that I don't need to add other FO's to it.

What is the difference between scented and unscented monoi de tahiti oil? I see the soapersupplies has the two options and I'm not sure which one to get. Suggestions please... THank you.

Are any of you able to make a password protected area (or members area)from your website? On my website I can make an area where I require them to contact me and aquire a user name and password, then it would take them to another area on my website that contains all wholesale information. I haven't done it yet, but I tested it out and it does work.

I have decided to add a charity fundraiser to my website for the holiday season. I wanted to make sure that I am not forgetting anything, can someone look and let me know if it is self explanatory or not? Thanks so much. (P.S. if anyone would like to join in that would be great, no pressure though )

OH MY!!! I love it... The colors are funky and cool..
It is a really upbeat site!!
The font is great!!
You company NAME ROCKS!!!!!
I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw the site. It is great, the name is wonderful and I love it.

I haven't actually sold wholesale myself yet, but I do buy some products at wholesale so I can tell you what I went through to get it if thats what you are looking for?
1-You have to fill out an approval form (either online or fax), it includes all of your business info and your tax id #. Then they let you know if you are approved or not.
2-They give you the pricing, terms and conditions, shipping, policies, etc. (I made up some of my own if your interested I can email them to you for examples. Just in case)
3-Sometimes they give you a password and user name to there website so that you can find all of the information directly on there site once your approved.
I'm not sure what specificly your looking for, but these are the basics.

No, you don't. Part of your "terms" when you hire a web designer can be that you will be the owner of the end result (which, quite frankly, is better protection for you).
I've done ad design, logo design etc. etc. and can tell you positively that there were MANY designs that I did not own once they were completed. There were also many that I did own. It will all come down to what you agree to when contracting the work.

On the site I got my design from, she asked that I keep her name on my site as her policy. I didn't know that some companies don't require that. But, I don't mind anyways, if I did the work for someone I think I would like to be aknowledged for my work.
-
You have to show that they are doing the work for you. It's not just advertisement for them, it's giving them credit for the great work they have done. Most web designers have policies regarding this and in order for you to use there designs you need to have this on your site somewhere.

Thank you all for the replies. I'm glad I am going in the right direction with my site.
Tizimarezie, where in Southern California are you?

I really like your site. The background and the graphics are really nice. The only thing I would suggest is to maybe add the ingredients for each item. I know for myself, before I buy anything, I need to know the ingredients because I have allergies.
I have some allergies also, so I know what you mean. I have a link on each item that takes you to the ingredients, do you think I should list them instead of the link.

Thank you Accents, I wasn't aware of any of those. I was trying to make it lightest to darkest, it is difficult learning how to use a new website. thanks.
Oh and the link is www.domaly.com/store

Thank you. Klean is a new bath and body company I found and loved there products so I wanted to add them to my site. Domaly is my own mineral cosmetics comapny, which I have just started this year.

I got a new website, I'm not sure that anyone saw my first (it was a free site), my new one isn't finished yet, I still have a lot of things to add and to stock my store of course, but can anyone give me feedback regarding the navigation of my site. Or if they see anything wrong or mispelled? It would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Crystal

I try to make sure to get information regarding animal testing before even buying from a company. I first read on there site then I email the company with questions.

Thank you so much for your help.

I've also seen one on essentialsbycatalina.com and there are samples on the site if you want to just order those to test out.

For those of you who make whipped shea butter, are you just making a regular whipped shea butter nothing added, or do you add anything to it like any essential oils or any preservatives? Thanks.

This is an old thread, but new to me so I had to comment. What I look for in a bath store is the accessories that can be used with the bath items. Like, cute travel bags and pouches. Also, like loofah scrubs and mitts. I like to be able to go into one place and find everything you would need for the bath all in one place, but not pay too much for it all.

I tried using some of my mineral makeup to color lip balms and it made them a harder texture that cracked because of the clays and oxides in them. I'm not sure how it would work on other products. But, if you use regular mica with no additives it works a lot better.

I was thinking on putting a sticker label on my cosmetics instead of a whole label. Does anyone know of a company that does this for inexpensive?
i.e. the word "Domaly" as a sticker and thats it, so that it looks like it was silkscreened on the top of the container. MAybe about 1" long.

I like some of the others (Accents & Scented) that were posted, but combined:
"Andryssa Catori"
Or something like "Torissa Andreca"
I like different names, I think if you had a seperate name for each category it would be too much.

wow, $700 a month for rent on a retail building, where are you located? I'm in California and to find a place with that type of rent on a retail space is unheard of. Depending on how much you sell, that is a good opportunity. Just make sure to get out there and promote your business. I think its a great idea, just make sure that you have gone over all of your numbers and the outcome would be greater than what you put in it. (which I'm pretty sure it would be)

I for sure like the one A, but I'm not sure if I like the cursive font or straight font on them. I think I like the cursive, but then I like the straight. 1 "A" for sure though!

Okay, I thought it was just a page you went to to sign in and everything, and thanks so much for the link.
another whipped shea butter question...

Usually I add an essential oil to my whipped shea, has anyone just made plain whipped shea with just a fragrance oil and if so, how did it turn out? Was it too greasy or did it have the same consistency? Thanks.
