  1. This might be weird, but I bought a Johnson's and Johnson's Soothing Naturals Soothe and Protect balm for babies. It's made to soften dry cheeks and patches on babies. Well I use it as my lip balm because it is so moisturizing and I can't find other Lip balms that work as well. (store bought of course, because I haven't got to try anyones recipes here yet.)

It doesn't have an ingredient label on it, but I was wondering if anyone has heard of this and if so do they know what main oils or ingredients help make it so soft? I would love to make something like this, but don't know what oils to use in it.

  2. I think you are missing the point of a sampler box - this is just another sampler box - only for THIS MONTH are they donating to charity. They don't donate all the time, they put that money in their pocket (as well they should)

No I must have read over that part. I thought that they do this all year long and it was some type of charity place. Let me see if understand now: So mainly if you send products to them, it is like a form of advertising? And they are just running a special this month with some of the proceeds being donated, right?

  3. The more I think about the topic, it is a 50/50 thing. One side is great advertising and donating a small profit to a charity. But, on the other hand I have done fund raisers in the past as an avon rep. I made up flyers and asked companies to donate stuffed animals at easter time and christmas time in which I purchased from Avon and donated to a charity. But, in no way did I make any money off of them. I sold them at the price I got them for and donated them all.

The idea of there company is great, but I think it just needs a bit more thought to it. I would love to do something like this for those in need, but not with the profit part, just organizing a giant fundraiser for small businesses to donate to a charity in need. With all proceeds being donated.

  4. I love your label as well... very pretty.. I would only slightly adjust the letters so it stands out and does not blend in with the flower.. I hope this makes sense.. my labels were the same way.. I had to move my lettering around so the words "popped" out at you and did not blend in with the graphic. Great job!!

I understand what you are saying, thanks. I printed my label out and the lettering was a little light. I wanted to add just a touch of color, but that is one problem I am having with using Word.

  5. I was searching and stressing over finding the prefect logo for my products and in trying to do it myself I might have discovered my labels. Of course it would have to change to a circle for body butters, product names, etc. But, can anyone give me feedback as of what it looks like so far? Thanks.

I don't know if this pic will show or not, I'm not sure how to make it show? If not, I placed it on a temp. page on my site, just so I can show you all. go to http://domaly.com/label.aspx

  6. I can't decide now if I want to have someone create a logo for me or to start by myself. No, I have decided I want someone to do it for me. And when I am ready it will definetly be someone from these boards you all do such terrific work.

I tried it by myself already and I just can't seem to do anything special and I don't know how to add that little special touch to it that I see in other logos.

Also, the picture in my background was from a clipart site, so I'm not sure that it is legal if I use it, I would need to check.

I would show you all what I tried, but I cannot seem to add my picture on here. Can someone please help me out with that? Thanks.

  7. I am looking for a logo for my business. I've seen posts on here about those of you who create labels, for a fee of course. But, my question is when you are designing labels for someone do you create a few options to pick through or is it I tell you what I am looking for and you create one label from that?

  8. New here so please bear with me. I saw at the grocery store a bottle of Vitamin E, it was 1 oz. and was $5.49. How does that compare to other places, is it too high or is that cheap? And is it the same type of Vitamin E, it was at Stater Bros. in the lotion section? Thanks so much in advance?
