  1. HaHa, "Butt Ticklers" You know those face washes that make your face tingle, I just pictured sitting in a bath and your butt start to tickle because of the powder. Sorry, for that, but that's what I pictured.
  2. Thanks everyone, I wasn't sure with being retail or not if I needed these.
  3. Does anyone know if when you buy a lotion base do they give you the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) for the product? Or which places do give them. My dad said that in order to sell the products sometimes you are required to carry these sheets by the government and if you don't have them when requested you can be fined for it. I just want to make sure that whomever I buy my lotion bases from can supply me with these?
  4. The problem is, is that they already have. First I was selling the Body Shop, so I have one side of the closet full of that. Now I do Avon on the side just for fun and the other side of the closet is full of that. Just recently I got into the mineral cosmetics, so another closet is stuffed with that. Now that I am trying to make my own bath and body products, (and I'm certianly out of closets, especially with two kids in this little apartment) my kitchen is going to be a mess.. I guess I was just looking for the easy way out. I'm going to have to move soon, just to have space for my hobbies and business. Okay this smiley has nothing to do with this post, I just thought it was cute. *getdown*
  5. Yeah, I thought the same thing. I guess I will have to clean out a closet somewhere and make room.
  6. Need opinions, please? I live in a small apartment and don't have much extra room to keep stock in, I am thinking of ordering supplies as needed. I have a website and am making a catalog, but my question is, if I order my supplies according to what people order would that be too long of a wait? Say for example: it takes me 7- 10 days to order supplies. I get an order and order supplies according to what they purchase, then I tell the customer that it will be 10-14 days (almost 2 weeks) before there order would arrive to them.
  7. I'm gonna give another try at this... OFfiCIalLY Crafted (The Ly is for Lynn) Over For Craft Ideas (If you had home parties this would be cute) One Fancy Craft Idea One Frog Creates Inspiration (I don't know about this one, but the letters matched)
  8. I'm just going to type whatever comes to mind, so if some sound crazy just disregard them... Original Fresh Crafted Illuminations. Old Fashion Crafted Idulgences. Our Forever Collection of Illuminations. Organic Fresh Creative Illusions. (If they are organic?) Oven Fresh Crafted Impressions. Our Forever Captivating Illuminations. Original, Fascinating, Creative Illuminations. Oh, my gosh. No wonder you are having such a hard time with this. This is so hard. I can come up with words, but then trying to add them together is almost impossible.
  9. Thanks, I looked everywhere in walmart ealier today and couldn't find them, I should have known to check in the food section. I did go to Michaels though and in the bakery I found a butter flavor oil, 2 oz. for $1.99 so I think I will try it in my lip balms. I just hope that it's not so sweet that I eat it all off.
  10. I went to walmart also, to see if I could find any coconut oil and all I could find was coconut oil hair conditioner. In what section do you all find these type of items?
  11. Those smileys make your post. I am sitting here laughing so hard at those smileys.
  12. I'm not so good at ideas either, but I'll give it a try. I'll just type whatever comes to mind at that exact second, so if some don't sound good, sorry. American Soy Candle Bakery American Candle Cafe Soy Candle Cafe The Candle Bakery Country Candle Cafe
  13. Has anyone tried the foaming bath butter from kangaroo blue? If so, what did you use it for and how did it work out? It looks really good.
  14. I did the free one, its free before and after the bate testing. If you have ever signed up for paypal, they ask for a credit card to verify your identity, this is the same thing. Unless, you choose the site with the monthly charge. I will upgrade when I am ready though. I don't sell online yet, I just have the site up so that when I put my business fully online, I already have my basic layout and don't spend too much time on the site. But, I do that too, I sign up for free trials and forget until my card is charged the next month. Thats how I got stuck with that netflix thing.
  15. I sell Avon now and just stopped selling the Body Shop about a week ago. If you look at the price of the body shop they are pretty high priced, but people will buy them because of the quality. With Avon I sell a lot more than the body shop, but I don't hear how much they like the products compared to the body shop, mainly more of the makeup and gifts sell, not so much of the body lotions and such. Anyways, what I am trying to say is your products are handmade and people value that more, if I were to buy a 4oz. body butter, I would probably pay around $7.50 or even $8.00. If you look at the body butters from the body shop they sell at $16.50 for a 6.9 oz. container. For silk and satin lotion, I would pay about $5.50 or up to $7.00 and for the sugar srcub about $7.00 also. If I found a good sugar scrub around me for $4.95 I would be doing a stock up on sugar scrubs. Maybe it's where I live. If you do sales online also, I would maybe compare to some online stores or even raise your prices online for those that are out of state. I myself would definetly pay more for good quality products.
  16. I was going to list them, but wow theres soo many. I found this link and all you do is select your state and it lists so many suppliers from soap, bath ad body, fragrance oils, equipment, boxes, bottles, etc. I hope this helps everyone out, I have seen many posts for suppliers and I know I have been on a huge hunt for them, so here it is: http://www.mangobutter.com
  17. Can you do that? Where would you find a lab that could make something similar or that does testing like that?
  18. Meetmark by Avon has a fragrance called Karmala and it is the best scent I have ever smelled yet the hardest to figure out. I read the ingredients, but it just says fragrance, no specifics. I would love to figure out a smell close to this to use in body butters if anyone can help? Description is: Blend of clover leaf, tahitian vanilla, white pepper and pink cassis. ( I cannot find white pepper or pink cassis fragrance oils anywhere) Then I have also read that it has: Haitian amyris, white musk, turkish myrrh, sacred tonic, tahitian candole flower, white heliotrope, chinese wisteria, and kashmiri saffron, on top of the other smells) Does this seem like it would be way too diffcult to try and find scents to? The smell is just so amazing, it's zen inspired and almost like a caramelly type. Sweet and I just can't stop smelling it.
  19. Yum, those look really good. It makes me want to make some frosting.
  20. Those are sooo cute! I have been to so many baby showers and never anything like that before. Adorable!
  21. Thanks so much, that helps a lot. I didn't even think of going to the site.
  22. This might be weird, but I bought a Johnson's and Johnson's Soothing Naturals Soothe and Protect balm for babies. It's made to soften dry cheeks and patches on babies. Well I use it as my lip balm because it is so moisturizing and I can't find other Lip balms that work as well. (store bought of course, because I haven't got to try anyones recipes here yet.) It doesn't have an ingredient label on it, but I was wondering if anyone has heard of this and if so do they know what main oils or ingredients help make it so soft? I would love to make something like this, but don't know what oils to use in it.
  23. Thank you all for helping understand that a bit better, at first I was under a different impression. I haven't seen stuff like this done before.
