Those scent blocks are a waste of money, they give no scent. Get ya some good FO. What kind of wax are u using?

Be careful using the ziplock bags, as they suck out the FO some how. I started using cello bags. They sell some ziplocks that are ok, I think they are called polypro. Alot of people use the little shoe box containers with a 5 on bottom for storing leftover wax etc. Just make sure you use seperate ones for each scent.

All StateFarms seem to be different from State to State. We use them for our home and cars, have been very happy with them:)

Any votives wont burn right if they are not in a snug votive holder. I think you are doing just what you should. You could offer votive jars for sale. When ever you are figuring their total ask them if they need any votive jars today.

I have used their FOs in both parraffin and parasoy with great results.

I just wanted to comment that every time you change your candle formulation you should be test burning it all the way down before you sell it. I personally wouldnt be selling if you are still not happy with the scent throw etc. I know its hard when you get excited about something, but better to get it right before putting it to market. Every type of wax is different for pour temps. Some pour at 180, some at 160 etc. You should follow the manufactors suggestion and go from there. If you add your FO at a low heat it wont bind well with the wax. Dont be afraid to add it at 180 or so, its not gonna hurt the FO.

I would order some good quality wax if it were me. Also you need to add your FO at a higher temp. I add mine around 180 to 185 depending on the FO. I am using the 6006 from IGI and it has great throw. Its a parasoy.

It usually takes alot of time and money testing your product before you can sell. It would also depend on how you are gonna sell and whats popluar in your area.

Thats pretty high for a flame, I would try wicking down some. How long did you burn it for? You want to aim for 3 hours burn time for a 3" candle.

Wow, so glad you are all ok. That was a awful storm. Always good to have some candles, never know when you will need them!

They have a neat store in Williamsburg Virginia also. It was huge, I have never seen so many candles lol. They sold other stuff too, like toys food home stuff etc.

Get ya a heat gun and it will smooth them out:)

If you want to try a parasoy, 6006 is great. I really like it. Its got awesome cold and hot throw. Its still a little trickey to wick but not anything like the 4630 I used to use.

I just started making mine all a light cream color. I got tired of buying chips every time I bought a new FO that was different.

If you havent burned the candles yet, you should be fine to melt them in the oven and scoop it out. Yep new wax=frustration!

Certain scents, vanilla based are harder to incorporate. Sometimes you have to heat your wax a little more for those, and stir a good couple of minutes.

I dont know how good it is to keep reheating it all the time. I would use fresh if it was me.

You can dip a q tip in each one and stick them in a ziplock bag for a little bit to see what it will smell like mixed. Someday I am gonna try mixing stuff:)

If you add your FO at a low heat, it will not mix well with the wax. I add my FO at 180. It depends on your wax the pour temp, but has nothing to do with when you add FO. I think it wont burn much off unless you added it at 200 or more and left it to cook. I add mine, stir a minute and remove it from heat. THen stir a few minutes more.

I made this today. It was made using cardstock velium and stamps. I went to a stampin up party this afternoon and she made one. I thought it was so neat and pretty!

I am using a parasoy blend, IGI 6006. Its a great container wax, very good throw. Mostly you are gonna have to try out different wax's to see what you like. Try to find a supplier close by to save on shipping.

It was posted not to long ago about this. Someone posted that they level it while still in the mold. They basically fill it up to/over the rim a bit. I quit with pillars since I could never level them. Might try again with this method.

I was looking at it, on Lonestarts site it is discontinued.

I looked on Lonestars website and it said to pour at 170 to 180. I havent used it before. Most pillar waxs in paraffin, generally are in that range. Good luck! Let us know how it goes.
