  1. Ok, now that you talked about how wonderful lard is, you have to share your lotion receipe queen, lol. I can't wait to try coco's sugar scrub with lard.
  2. Your welcome. I am always asking for advice, lol
  3. I use FBB with my sea salt scrubs and charge $4.95 for a 2 oz. and 7.95 for a 4 oz.

  5. When is a good time to add the goat's milk powder (after light trace?). Does the powder turn orange like the liquid.
  6. You know, I have a wood log mold that sounds like the liner for 44.00 would fit.
  7. :smiley2: oh, i see. makes sense now. thanks for explaining.
  8. I thought of getting a stamp with my business initials or name and a cute desing to stamp on the bands. Could do little leaves, etc. all over the bands too but I want to keep it simple. Thought if I could get a stamp made with LC for Little Creek or with Little Creek spelled out and a little design that goes un der the name or initials.
  9. Maybe I could find a wood slab mold that would be big enough for a 9 bar then buy a liner for it.
  10. Yes, the 9 bar would be perfect! I checked out silver moon but I just can't afford to buy a liner and a wood mold. I don't make enough soaps to justify that right now. I make soaps for friends and family.
  11. thanks. I will check it out.!
  12. so, I usually make only a dozen at a time. I think that is a 4 lb. receipe, not sure. I like mine at least 3 inches long and 2 or 2 1/2. How deep do you make yours? about 2 in.? Is 24 a 8 lb. receipe? I want to order her soap mold. I got nizzy's today. small squares, lol.
  13. asheebean would know for sure but you can use any clay or powder you want.
  14. Oh, the brown sugar nutmeg sounds nice. I have the straight nutmeg already. thanks all.
  15. I am trying to find a nice nutmeg scent that is a soft scent. Also, where is a good place to get blackberry currant vanilla and blackberry amber?
  16. Thanks so much! appreciate the help~ :smiley2:
  17. They are 3 inches wide (round 4 oz. apothecary jars). The bottom is 3 inches. The top of the jar is 2 1/2 inches wide. It is 2 inches from the neck to the base but I usually fill jar just above the neck.
  18. Can someone tell me which log mold to get for 3 to 4 lb. batch of soap from silver moon? I wanted the slab mold but a little steep for my budget right now.
  19. I usually make 8 oz. soy candles and use CD16's. I have to make 50 4 oz. apothecary candles. Any suggestions on which CD wick to use for them? I usually have to go up one or two sizes for soy wax.
  20. Not in either one this morning. Grrrr
  21. No, never thought of that, thanks.
  22. I received my sample wax from DPs/Morris in Illinois. The Ecosoya CB 135 and the CB pure Soy. I did not get the advanced sample since I have never had much luck with scent throw with advanced wax. They both adhered to the jars, smooth tops, no frosting, and I can still smell the scent. I just made 1 candle of each wax earlier tonight (same scent). I will cover in the morning and test their scent throw in 48 hours. I usually don't burn candles that soon only when testing. If they smell as good as they look, I will be sooooo happy!!!! I don't know the difference between the 135 or the pure soy except that I would imagine the pure soy is all soy. Not sure what the 135 is. I know it is not advanced wax. The 134 is two dollars cheaper than the pure soy.
