  1. Candybee, Thank you, I got the clays at New Directions they have a great selection. http://www.newdirectionsaromatics.com/spa-clays-c-15_93.html
  2. Has anyone soaped Red Lipstick from AH/RE, there are no CP notes and I was curious if it turned brown or not. I seem to pick up on a cream or vanilla note in it. Also has anyone tried it it wax?
  3. Thanks Karen, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, just a matter of plopping some fairly well traced blobs of soap into the mold....lol
  4. Hey everyone, I made this soap with Australian Olive Clay, Australian Red Reef Clay, Australian Ivory Clay and scented with Jungle. I just discovered I love working with the clays and they do a great job of coloring. I was going for a camo look, I think it looks similar. Thanks for looking
  5. Everything looks great, love the blue mason jars!
  6. Great Job! Pictures are amazing and the products look great!
  7. I don't know the answer to the question but I thought your candles are very pretty!
  8. Well as you know I not very good at making CP, so I think I finally made a couple that look halfway decent. They still cracked on the top but at least they didn't get all crackled on the inside and they didn't get any ash...whoopee! The Tiger Stripes was made with AH/RE Truth or Dare and the Caribbean Gold was made with NG Narcissist.
  9. I have ordered the food grade lye..(which is on sale this week for $1.99 per 2lb)...Shea Butter and they just started carrying silicone soap molds. I have not tried their EO's or FO's but so far I like everything I got from them.
  10. I looked for the Mainstay jars at my Walmart and they didnt have them, plus I couldn't find them on the website.
  11. I would love to get a hold of some of those cuties if the price is right, keep us posted!
  12. Hmmm...thats interesting, it almost looks to me like frost, the same as you would get with soy wax. I never colored my coconut so I never noticed if it did that.
  13. Excellent Idea Horsescents, now you know I'm going to get those jars!
  14. Great memory Horsescents! The Cottage line morphed in with the coconut line and a totally different jar. It takes me forever to get my ideas into a working concept because I'm always getting distracted by new ideas....lol must be an ADD issue!
  15. Oh noooo, why did I read this thread, I don't need anymore ideas meandering in my head!
  16. Thanks for the compliments Old Crab I never had much luck with the customer service either. I tried to get some of the Apricot wax also but they said they didn't even sell it anymore when I asked. Kind of frustrating because I would love to try blending it with the coconut. There is a candle company in Southern California called The Blue Wick Candle co. They have a line of candles that uses a... "Proprietary all vegetable Apricot Wax"...so the conspiracy theory in my head says that they are probably the biggest buyer of the apricot wax in that area and perhaps they have become the main buyer at California Candle Supply. But that is just what I conjured up in my head, so who knows...lol http://www.bluewick.com/our-apricot-wax/ Anyway let me know how you make out with the wax, feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
  17. I put on my label that my wax is a ParaSoy blend, if they ask, I tell them its a mix of paraffin and soy. If they want to know why I don't make all soy I just tell them I don't like the way it looks, burns or smells and that is usually the end of the conversation. So I guess my point is own the wax you use and be proud of it...lol
  18. I'm just about done testing this wax, its has taken me awhile...lol but I love it, its a great wax. The only place I know of getting it is Swans and Calcandlesupply, nothing on the east coast.
  19. Thanks kssoaper yes I print them myself, they are super easy to make. They are just the white address labels that I put on top of scrapping paper. I get the paper at Michaels, Joanne's etc...
  20. I think my CP skills are improving somewhat, still have a long way to go...lol Margarita from AH/RE garnished with lime infused sea salt on the top. The scent is light but I can still detect a little bit of lime. Cute Cabana Boy...DS...great scent so far still nice and strong. Thanks for looking
