  1. Hey there.. where do we need to look for the code? I'm having a problem getting into different areas of this site tonight... hoping I can find it.. Thanks! FM
  2. I did read through the first couple pages, but I thought it MORPHED into a joke. I know my friends and I do that all the time. If you read through the first couple posts, it really does seem like a recipe that good friends are messing around and make into a joke. O'well. It's over. Allergic symptoms are almost gone. I've still got this slight headache and funky sense of humor, but I hope the humor stays! Anyway, I hope they get a laugh over this. Thankfully no one really got hurt. So... anyone got a new easy recipe I can try?
  3. Ok... so the CM must of gotten in my eyes, I thought it said "Spring".. evidently it says "Sept".. lol... ok ok.. I'm going to sleep now. Night all!
  4. Love it!! Great idea! I never doubted you.. I knew they'd be cute! Love the label too. FM
  5. I gotta know.. what's in the egg? Spring 2006 - hmmm...
  6. I'm sorry to hear things fell through but it sure does sound like you are acting - not reacting (oh no... those self help books must of sunk in when I wasn't paying attention) This will give you time to build up your customer base. I totally agree about doing it the right way. Good luck to you. This extra time is going to really help you out in the long run. Besides, you can think about it this way... your products will be on the market for a full year (or so) before opening a storefont. This will give you some street cred. Now that I've used the phrase "street cred".. I feel I must end this post with... Word (I so need sleep!)
  7. I'd LOVE to try them too!! I'm so obsessive with this stuff.. I want to try it ALL!! I actually drove 35 miles (1 way) tonight to get my citric acid to go with the new Vanilla FO that I got on the way back home! LOL The CM is the only thing I know I'm allergic to. I love just about everything. Sweet Pea is my all-time favorite. I have personally kept B&B in business for a couple years now on their Sweet Pea products alone. Shuuushhh - don't tell them but I now have Sweet Pea lotion, and shower gel that they didn't make! <giggle>.... It's good to be queen ... even if only in my own mind!
  8. Lol - you should of seen me this afternoon with the CM on my hands AFTER washing them multiple times. I drove up to Florence with the hubby and kids and 1/2 my face was numb, the other 1/2 felt like ants. My lips were swollen a bit and I was NOT in such a great mood. My hubby asked the same question "If you are allergic to it.. then WHY...blah blah blah".. he just doesn't understand. It was a recipe and I had to try it! The only EO I had (besides peppermint, and I'm pepperminted out) was cm. SO.... And yes, this group is very supportive and I'm thrilled to be a part of it. Thank you guys very much for the help and support.
  9. I'd love to have those recipes!! I live in a little small town and we DO have a Super Wally-World!! Other than that, I need to go closer to Cincy or to Lexington to get supplies. I would appreciate the information! My regular email is gjustice @ justice web design dot com THanks again!!
  10. Um... 32 pages long.. the board is finally up.. NOW I get it... boy.. hindsight
  11. So.. you ARE going to link us to the article right? We'd love to see it and celebrate with you!!! Gratz!!
  12. Yeah... I learned a big lesson. O'well. I bought some new stuff tonight (citric acid and vanilla fo) so I KNOW I can make bath bombs. Tried and True! I honestly had no idea that was a bad recipe. I read through the thread - to an extent - it is about 8 pages long! I'll be a bit more inquisitive on my next recipe. I have learned one thing - FO, crisco and aloe vera doesn't make much of anything other than a greasy mess! AND - if you are allergic to a scent, list to your allergist - that was TOTALLY all me! So... next recipe!
  13. Thanks Jen.. That is exactly what I needed A little encourgement goes a long way. Ginger
  14. Thanks Jen. I'll take you up on that offer sometime And yes, it was a learning experience. I am trying to learn what goes with what to make what - if that makes any sense. I have three daughters and would LOVE to save some money and have fun making things with them. I'll hit ya up with some questions a bit later. FM
  15. Damn.. dirt in an open wound. I wasn't MAD at you guys... I just said it sucks that people would think that's funny. And it is hard to do research when you don't know what you are looking for. Like I said.. I am NEW to the forum. 'Nuff said.
  16. No offense taken Jen. I wasn't interested in making money on it..just wanted to see what it made. I have limited supply at the moment so I'm trying to see what I can make with what I have on hand. Evidently, this was NOT the recipe for me to try. O'well.
  17. Well now.. don't I feel so stupid now. :undecided I was hoping that coming into a new forum that I would be able to take a recipe at face value. Being new to B&B thing, I didn't think I would need to question some of the "old-timers." .... How very sad that I've wasted what little ingredients I had on hand AND caused a hugh allergic reaction. I didn't really have anywhere to "research" being that I am new to this all. I'll be much more hesistant to try anything new now. :embarasse
  18. Oh no.. it's not solid.. at least MINE isn't soild. I'm concerned with the amt of fo. I used cm. I was told by my allergist that I shouldn't use CM because it will set off my allergies. Let me tell you... boy was he right! I'm dying in here and I only used 1/3 of the amount it called for. :undecided If you can find the original recipe, I'd love to see it. If I need to add this to something, that would rock too. Just curious as to what the heck it is.
  19. So sorry all.. cannot remember who posted this.. AND I've search for 10+ mins.. can't find it.. Recipe is: 1/2 cup crisco 1/2 oz aloe vera 3 tablespoons fo 6 tsp castor oil this product is great, all natural (well except the fo but we're not telling on you), easy to find ingredients and doesn't need a preservative either have fun, you can make it this morning and sell it this afternoon - I have a few questions about this recipe. What the heck is it?? I thought it would be a heavy lotion but it is REALLY REALLY greasy! Also, I only used 1 tbsp of Cucumber Melon FO in it and the smell is KILLING me. I cannot imagine 3. Just wondering if anyone can help out with this one. Thanks! FM
  20. From what you wrote - that's all the history I have - I would suggest taking the time between now and the original date you had for opening (2007) and work on increasing your inventory and client base. I personally would rather open with more product available, then a smaller base. I'm sure this probably isn't what you want to hear (I would find it hard to hear too!) but it might be for the best? Sorry if I was a let-down!! Funky Monkey
  21. I've heard tale that if you add the shea butter to the other solids and melt TOGETHER slowly, it won't grit. I made some lipgloss here with it, did it that way and no grit. Then again, mine could of been a fluke!
  22. Hiya Lynn! I sent you an email Thanks! Funky Monkey
  23. In the words of a famous beer commerical.... I love you man..
  24. Yep. I've used the same thing with wonderful results. Got a great Pina Coloda in my purse right now that was created with a dram of candy flavoring.
