    I'm thinking a little ahead for some Valentine scents. All done with Christmas ones and want to be ready after the holidays! I'm thinking this is going to be lighter scent like warm vanilla sugar but nice. Any suggestions. I use 4794 and JS 50/50. Thanks bunches Julie

    I can't seem to find the right one. I've tried Daystars Vanilla RUm Raisin Balls, and ICS Butter Rum Cake. THey won't throw for me. I use js 50/50 and 4794. ANyone know of a killer fragrance. My customer is still asking for it. I'm guessing she want the real Rum scent not so much sweet. Any suggestions much appreciated!! Julie

    a kick butt Rum f.o.?? I've tried day-stars Vanilla Rum Raisin Balls, didn't throw at all. ICS Butter Rum Crunch cake very little throw. I use js 50/50 and 4794. I have a customer who wants this and I can't find a great one. Is this not a strong scent?? Never had such a problem with certain scent. Thanks everyone!! Julie

    AH HAAAA... so I would need to get some round molds of some kind. I might give it a try, just unmold and start rolling by hand. Thanks girls!!:highfive:

    I've seen these sold on ebay. Are they rolling like a snowball as the soap cools???? Sounds like an all day project. I like round soap but not sure I want to go through all that trouble if that's they way it's done!! I like to pour and forget it about for awhile!!! Thanks Julie

    Ok girls, how much babassu oil or sodium lactate do you add to your recipe for hardness.?Out of all the recipes out there, I have never seen this!! I'm going to try the non-iodine salt first to see if that does the trick has Rebecca suggested. Thanks again!! Julie:D

    Hi Rebecca, Thanks for your reply, my lye cal. said 18 oz water, with 5.96 lye. I will drop water to 11oz and try that. If that doesn't do it, should I get palm oil and bump my recipe so coconut oil and palm oil equal 50% of the recipe? Thanks again!!:highfive:

    Thanks girls!! I thought I should have posted my recipe. This is my latest 4lb recipe. 2 oz shea butter 8.6 oz coconut oil 10.8 oz lard 10.8 oz olive 10.8 oz canola My soap has cured for 3 weeks now, I would think it would be hard, still a bit soft for my liking. Maybe I'm being inpatient!! Thanks!! Julie

    I'm still learning and tweaking my recipe, I use coconut oil, but what else can I use to make a really hard bar?? I add about 16oz in my recipe maybe more, I can't remember for sure, Thanks everyone!!

    Hello!! WOndering if anyone has tried ICS mulled cider. I use 4794 and j 50/50. I need to make some tarts fast but can't remember what wax I had the better result or if I even liked it. Hmmmm. Thanks all!!

    I've only done the 2Lb loaves. I use 4794 and double wick these with 2 zinc 36-24-18 wicks. THey burn nice like a pillar and have a nice wax pool all around the loaf.

    A friend wants to make, rather buy a liquid base for soft soap and add her own fragrance to it. Can you purchase something like that? I haven't seen already made liquid base for soft soap. Told her I knew just who to ask!!! THanks!! Julie

    Good Morning!! Has anyone tried Js Jelly Donut?? I use j 50/50 and 4794. I used 1 1/2 ounce per lb. Not getting a good hot throw. Cold is very good. Was curious if anyone else had problems with this one. Thanks!!
