  1. I don't know if you have tried this yet, but since soy wax is so light, a lot of people recommend adding some black dye with your color to deepen it, so you don't have to use so much dye. It works for me, that is what I do.
  2. I get mine at www.bulkfoods.com Honey powder is made a lot of different ways.....depending on how it is dried, is what % of honey is actually in it. This one has 70% honey, which is one of the highest you can find....They also sell dried herbs and all kinds of other things as well, and no matter how much you buy, it is only like 5 bucks for packaging, and shipping is free. Hope that helps!
  3. Yeah, I love them too, especially since they are measured amounts already! It is suprising that no one talks about them at all. I hope someone knows something! It would be interesting to find out how to make them. I tried search engines, but I couldn't get any information.
  4. I wanted to know....how do you make the bath oil beads? Where do you get beads? Can you buy them? It would be nice to be able to make those and put them in a jar or something, and have people just drop a few in the tub to dissolve.
  5. Oops, well I guess they are sold out of the white beeswax....I just checked them, but they still have yellow, and they should probably have some more white soon!
  6. I was looking at some websites, doing some price checking on amber or cobalt boston round bottles with caps. I am looking for 1/2 ounce or 1 ounce sizes, but I can't seem to find reasonable prices.....Are they expensive everywhere, or am I just looking in the wrong places? If anyone has found a good place to get these, please share with me! Thanks in advance!
  7. The cheapest price I have found on beeswax is www.oilsbynature.com They are located in Cleveland, OH, and I live close, so I just go pick mine up, so I am not sure what their shipping charges are, but I am sure they are reasonable. Hope that helps!
  8. I am curious about business property and liability insurance. I am just starting my own business, and I think it would be a good idea to get some insurance, especially dealing with flammable things like candles, and I am also thinking of getting into B&B products. To any business owners out there, is there a reasonable place to get this kind of insurance? I have no idea what kinds of rates there are, but if some of you who have insurance could give me a few pointers or reputable companies, that would really be great! Thanks a lot!
  9. Wow, those are great! I make candles myself, but I am increasingly interested in making soaps. There seems to be so many wonderful things you can do! That is a great idea, those camo soaps, and they look wonderful!
  10. I have seen a lot of different ways to make body spray, and they are all very different. I want to make some to sell, and I know you can't use vodka or things like that. I also heard that people use rubbing alcohol for the base and it works, they get the 70% alcohol kind, and then add scent. What do you guys think? Does anyone know some good recipes?
