  1. You know, I told my boyfriend this morning, this is a never ending process. I told him I will never have a profit because of all the supplies. Right now, I'm comfy with my melts, even though I will test the new FOs in my wax, I do have some that work great in it. Then, I got jars. I've made wickless jars that were really, really good, but I've still got to test wicks. Then, I want to make flameless candles and I also want to do embeds, and then the FOs. Well, I just want them ALL! lol He laughed. I think he thought I was joking. Well, he doesn't know about the orders I placed last night/this a.m.! lol Anyway, he loves the melts and keeps swiping them for the warmer in the office, so I guess it's okay. I'm making a list of all these FOs and I'm gonna place another order in a couple of weeks, so keep em coming! lol Thanks! Stephanie
  2. ICS (Indiana Candle Supply) has 100 for $24. Had I known that sooner, I would have been purchasing mine from them! lol Stephanie
  3. I know. I'm definitely gonna have to make another order. I also ordered from BCS last night! lol I was almost out of sugar cookie and ordered cherry berry, creme brulee, and sunflowers. Then, I ordered some astorlite Q to play around with. As if I don't have enough to do! lol This is way to addicting! Stephanie
  4. Okay, I poured pine and lilac the other night and literally held my nose the entire time. I like lilac but it was strong and I do NOT like pine! That was a request from my dad. He wanted a true pine scent in a wickless jar. He was extremely pleased and I'm praying to the heavens I never have to pour it again! lol Stephanie
  5. No, darn it! lol Anyway, I ordered to following, and some were not what I found in researching but I wanted to try anyway. Pink Sugar Lemon Meringue Moonlight Path Fresh Picked Strawberries Triple Berry Lavendar Mulberry Honeydew Key Lime Pie I was honestly impressed with the cost of shipping and also impressed with the price of their clamshells. This is my first order through them, but if everything goes well, I will definitely be ordering from them again! Stephanie Okay, I'm impatient and I ordered! lol I can't help it.
  6. Nevermind. I did a search and found what I wanted! Stephanie
  7. I have 8oz square mason jars I'm gonna start retesting and I was wondering if it's easier to wick a paraffin (sp?) and soy blend or if there is a soy wax that is easier to wick than CBA. I got a little bit of a scent throw, but not enough and I didn't feel comfortable wicking up as I had a CD16 in the jar already and the meltpool was fine. Anyway, I'm still working on it but wondered if maybe I should mix another wax with the CBA or trying something else? Stephanie
  8. I use CBA and still get frost in reds and greens, depending on the shade. I heated my jars and put them in the oven and it did seem to help. I wish there was something you could do to completely eliminate frost as I get it a lot with certain colors in my melts and it really irritates me! lol Stephanie
  9. After researching on here, I found ICS is the recommended place to get Pink Sugar, unless that has changed. Are there any other scents to get from there while I'm ordering? I'm trying to get some new scents in for spring and such. Thank you! Stephanie Or if you wanna recommend any other places, I don't mind. I just would really like Pink Sugar and Moonlight Path. Thanks!
  10. I called Riekes because they are closer to me, although not as close as I would like, but they're prices are very good for me and cheaper than most places. I did not call fillmore due to them being in PA. Stephanie
  11. Well, I didn't know, so I asked. I will buy some to try. So here's the next question, who has the best? lol I know, that's gonna stir some problems, so how bout just letting me know who has what available, websites for example. Maybe I'll buy some after Christmas and test it out. I really wish I would have went to our Farmer's Market. They probably had some there. Problem is, after having been on this forum and researching everything, I'm scared to buy from anybody unless they are on here and I know they test everything! lol Anyway, thanks for the help and I will be looking to buy some in the next couple of weeks. Stephanie
  12. Are there any local hobby/craft stores that sell these? Just wondering! Thanks! Stephanie
  13. Well, I'm an idiot. It wasn't the whip! lol I got different dish soap and it was that. Go figure. This is what happens when I don't get enough sleep! lol Anyway, I like the whip but I wish I could find something that worked as well as my shower lotion. I'll keep looking, but at least I got the whip for now! Stephanie
  14. I'm getting frosting on 5oz apothecary jars, mostly with the reds and greens. I have poured cinnamon I don't know how many times and got a really pretty color and it frosted. At first I poured cool, then poured hot and pouring hot doesn't seem to frost near as much. I poured some almond cherry tonight and the pink frosted. I've poured a few of those and had not had the pink frost. Figures! lol Stephanie
  15. Okay, don't harp on me, but I am a diehard body wash user! I was searching through some threads and found out that handmade bar soap is actually more moisturzing. I do use the shower lotion from Oil of Olay that I absolutely love. Problem is, I can't keep my daughter out of it and we go through it too quickly! Anyway, is the handmade bar soap that much better? If so, how hard is it to make? Thank you! Stephanie
  16. Okay, I got my soy whip today and made a small batch with my daughter. We love it except I have one problem. It has completely dried out my hands worse than what they were. I have no problem on my legs or anywhere and she didn't have any problems at all. Should I maybe use it without FO or are my hands just more sensitive than the rest of me? I dunno. Stephanie
  17. I saw some at our walmart earlier today but it was back in the craft section and there were only 2 boxes. I was hunting around the ribbon and they apparently had none! I looked in with the Christmas wrap and all they had there were bows and curled ribbon sections (for lack of a better term) to put on presents. Where the heck did the ribbon go? lol Anyway, I did see the cellophane stuff and was shocked to see it in the craft dept. I guess I would have expected it to be with the Christmas stuff. Then again, it's walmart, nevermind. lol Stephanie
  18. Me and my daughter were looking at the candles in the Christmas decoration section at Walmart the other night. There was a 3-wick candle and the wicks were not centered. It was like a machine wicked it and the jar was not centered under the machine. It smelled good, but I like mine! Stephanie
  19. Those are cool! I like these too: http://www.faerieflames.com/ I don't know if I found the link on this site a while back or where I found it, but I thought they were neat. stephanie
  20. I had this problem with FedEx, too. I work at home and was expecting important papers from work and they left a note on my door. I did sign the back of the thing so they could just leave it from then on. Problem was, I work 3rd and sleep during the day and apparently slept through them knocking, but I had a big covered porch that was actually my daughter's toy room they could have left it in. Anyway, now that I've signed that paper, they just leave things on the porch on in between the doors. Stephanie
  21. TexasBrat - It took hours for some FO to whip in? OMG lol I guess I'm gonna have to get a stand alone mixer and let it go! lol I had one but my bowl broke. Oh well, I gotta go get another kitchen kettle anyway. Thanks for the help all. Hopefully I won't have a mold issue. I wonder what would be the cause of it anyway? Stephanie
  22. Thanks so much to all! I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a recent mold issue! lol I'm looking forward to it as it's going to be mostly for gifts, but I want some for myself! lol I have lotion here but it is really greasy and my skin just feels yucky from it! Anyway, I will post how it goes! Stephanie
  23. I sure will. I plan on making some up as soon as I get it. Of course, it'll be Wed/Thurs when I get it. I'm not sure. I may make my dad some without FO and see if it works for him. He's got sensitive and dry skin. Usually he swipes my Oil of Olay when he comes down to visit! lol But, as soon as I get some made, I'll post how it went. Stephanie
  24. Good! I didn't find very many posts that were related to problems with it. I've been wanting to try it for the last couple of months and finally ordered some yesterday! I'm gonna scent it with Cool Water type, Warm Vanilla Sugar type, and whatever else I got that's skin safe! lol Stephanie
