  1. I smelled that the other day when I was at Bed Bath and Beyond....it was one of the ones on sale for the week, and it smelled GREAT! I have been keeping the look out for it as well....it smelled so clean and nearly citrusy? couldn't quite put my finger on the notes...it sure was tempting, though!
  2. Did you ever try cottons. I had a bugger of an fo that wasn't burning well in the tumbler, so I wicked it with a 60 c and it is doing way better...ya might try a 62 c. HTH! Marica
  3. I mix ky's coconut cream piw qith their pineapple...smells great, and customers love it!
  4. I always test my best selling size first...which for me, is an 8 ounce tumbler. HTH!
  5. Julia, I use 3 drops orange and one drop red for my pink gf. HTH!
  6. I use a 60/40 soy/parrafin blend, and I use a RRD 50 in a 3" tumbler. HTH!
  7. Yeah, I second TSB's Strawberry shortcake... could it be you have candle nose? Or just can't smell the strawberry burning? The reason I ask is because I can seldom get a whiff of apple fos...it drives me nuts...apple pie, mac apple, etc...then I give the candle away and get compliments on how great it smells! UGH!
  8. Your only option, rational option I mean, is to call her and tell her that since you do not usually use that size jar you need another week to test. Then, You will have to pour three testers at a time of each scent she bought(3 different wicks), burn them, pick the best of the three, pour two more testers of that one with the same size wick, and then test them to make sure your wicking is right...then pour her candles. You have time to do it in a week, but you will have to keep good notes and stay on top of it daily. I don't know the diameter of that jar, so we need that to give you wicking suggestions. You honestly should have turned down that order or asked for a month. If someone asks me to do a special jar size or scent, I always ask for a month to test, and I have been making candles for a LONG time, so have a pretty good idea where to start. You don't screw around with candles...you need to test thoroughly, and if you haven't, you shouldn't sell them. JMO>
  9. She's always pretty good with email, too. I always used to email her and ask her why shipping was so high...and she always adjusts it.
  10. Gorgeous! Those colors are awesome! Great name and label...good job!
  11. I have always had goodluck with a 51c in those tins. I also add a little beeswax to them so they don't burn too fast... HTH!
  12. I have a colored line and an uncolored line. I use just soy for the uncolored line, and use a para/soy blend for the colored line. I am an artist, as well, and couldn't live without the color completely... The dropper bottles are easy to handle for clutzes like uds...
  13. I was never able to, so I went to liquids. I like the EVO liquids from Just By Nature... HTH!
  14. Thanks! I appreciate that information....I have searched and searched, so Thank You!
  15. I was getting mine from Candle Soylutions...looks like I will continue to get it there. Bittercreek south doesn't have anything called 415, but I wonder if they call it something else... Now, to find some J223 closer than Bittercreek, too...they are honestly way way far from me way up here in the panhandle... Anyone know of an oklahoma supplier for j223? Thanks, ya'll!
  16. Hey everyone... I have been getting my 415 from Oklahoma, but thought I might take a peek and see if there is anywhere to get it in Texas, or a soy wax that performs exactly the same? I was told once that a whole lot of the soys that are sold by suppliers are the 415, but now, with all the numbers, I am so confused. Thanks!
  17. I use a mixture of mostly J223 and soy, and I pour alot hotter. Pour around 170 and see what happens... I do notice that no matter what temp I pour, the wax always pulls away from the sides of my square mason jars. Since I fill them high and they have a "shoulder" it seems the never adhere well, but they pull completely away and look great, too...so I don't mind. HTH!
  18. I think they are gorgeous. Way to take the prim idea a little further and unique look! I love them, and I think they would do awesome around here in our craft shops, etc, too! Good Job!
  19. That's awesome! And it helps that your candles are Gorgeous, too!
  20. You might try here: http://www.candlesoylutions.com/thumbnail.asp?offset=0&deep=1&cid=14 I have a couple of cases of these jars, if you would like to try them. They are consistent nice jarts, I just decided to go with tumblers instead. I would sell them to ya cheap to get them outa my candle shed...
  21. Yes, there's a difference... Parrafin/veggie might have palm, cottonseed, soy....or other vegetable vaxes or additives...while usually if it says parrafin/soy, it just soy that is added. You never know unless you ask..
