    Good advice to stay away from craft store supplies. :smiley2: Even if you just want to try making candles, it is still a wise decision to get quality supplies. I never went the craft store route. I purchased a kit from Cierra Candles. I did eventually learn that their wax is overpriced, but at least I started out with "real" wax. LOL As far as sticking to one supplier, I could never do that. Peak is awesome, but so are several other suppliers!

    What wicks are you finding work the best? I've been testing with zincs, and I'm not impressed.

    Hey, my wax is 70% soy and 30% paraffin. 70% is safe to burn, but the other 30% will give you cancer, clog your fireplace, soot up your house, make you impotent and/or infertile, make you grow hair on your chest AND cause you to hallucinate. The soy/paraffin debate is so lame. A candle is a candle. It has a flame. If not burned properly, it will soot. I've tested 100% soy that put off more soot than any paraffin I've ever saw. If you make a good product that burns clean and smells nice, thats all that matters. Why must some people try to trash other products to try and make a sell? :undecided

    Just wanted to say that I agree with the *---- By ----* being totally overused. Sorta like the word "scentsations." I also associate boutique with old lady clothes and jewelry. I know this probably isn't want you want to hear, but it's good to get outside observations, cause these are things we usually don't pick up on ourselves about our biz names! Good luck!

    I can't wait for 2007! Since I spent most of '06 pregnant, I wasn't able to do much. I'm 95% sure I'm changing waxes, so I'll really dedicate a good part of the year to perfecting my new wax. I'm also wanting to really get back into CP.
