  1. Im up to my elbows in wax, just finished pouring 48 creme brulee and 48 christmas tree votives, preparing some colour tests for this afternoon too, then maybe a batch of soap and lots of lip balms. did candy cane yesterday, red and white layers, they turned out so cute. Next weekend I start selling at the farmers market, and tommarrow my mother in law is taking some of my candles down to the flea market she works at to see how people react to them there.

  2. Votives, Soap, Bath Bombs, Lip Balms. I am hoping to have a few more jar candles ready to go in a few weeks, but right now they are still testing, and im not going to rush it . I might also put together some bath salts and a few other simple items to take along.

  3. I finally got the courage to go and get myself a booth at our local farmers market. I will be selling there starting next saturday, luckily it is an indoor market. This is my first time selling, and IM soooo nervous!! Any advice fron anyone whos done markets before? I scoped it out, no candles, no b&b, only one lady who had a few bars of very plain CP soap. Wish me luck

  4. YAY!! I finally got mine today!! Love everything, I am soo having a bath and pampering myself today, after them temper tantrums my 2 year old has been throwing today, I NEED it!!

My best friend tried to steal my sweet pea perfume, had to bat her off of it, promised to order some sweet pea FO next time round. Great job on everything guys!!

  5. It takes practice, i was considering selling half bombs at one point, here is what works for me. I fill both halves of the mold so they are overflowing, then I squeeze the two halves together really really hard for about 12 - 15 seconds. I put the bomb, still in the mold on my cookie tray and let it sit for about 5 minutes, very important to leave both halves on for the first few minutes, I have lots of ornament molds. After about 5 minutes, i VERY carefully remove the first half, and let the bomb remain in the second half for as long as possible, 30 minutes if I can, this gives me nice whole balls with no flat bottoms. If it is not staying in a ball because the mix is too dry, just add a little drizzle of oil to the mix. Good Luck~~

  6. You need to buy Flavour oil for the lip balms, its usually used at around 4%

You can buy the flavour oils presweetened, if you are using one that is not sweetened , you may want to add a lip balm sweetener to it.

The site that darwin gave you also carries a HUGE supply or flavour for lip balm.

  7. You could try tempering the base. Just melt it, turn the heat source off and let the base sit in the hot water for atleast 10 minutes. This can sometimes prevent certain butters from going grainy. Some inendtation is normal when lip balm cools. Mine always have a small little hole in the middle where the stick of the tube is. Try overfilling them so that there is a bubble of melted lip balm sitting ontop. when it shrinks it will be a bit more level with the top of the tube.

  8. Need to know what you guys think of this soap, it was just cut and needs to be cleaned up a bit. This is scented lavender with shea butter and silk. First time using a water discount, first time using silk, and im still kind of new to oxides. Was downstairs soaping last night after I get the little one in bed, and hubby starts yelling for me to come to bed with him, saying its ridiculas that im making soap at this hour, and he needs to get up early (its only 9:30 pm at this point ) So, needless to say I rushed this poor batch. Im not sure if im happy with it or not, it has oxide specks in it and im not used to a textured top from a slab mold. Im hoping to start going to farmers market soon and trying to build up some stock, should I add this to it or keep this batch for personal use / christmas presents.
