  1. I'll probably get beat up on this post....but the concensus is when we test a wick for a certain container and are having problems with the wicking or burning properties...the only concern seems to be the size or type of the wick...however I venture to say that not all wicks are created equal...meaning that some wicks in the packs that we buy could be defective...or not up to snuff and won't burn the way they are intended. I have discovered this a lot of times when I have double wicked containers one wick seems to do well the other wick or wicks are not hardly visable...and are ready to go out or drown out. I really believe that this is the case with a lot of testing that I have done...any comments???? Cheers
  2. I use a clear acrylic sealer for my clear labels...after printing...this keeps the ink from smudging...I have an inkjet printer...without the sealer the labels will smudge even after drying for a period of time...depending on handling.

  5. It could be that the resin at that point of the stick just didn't absorb the fragrance oil like other parts of the stick...I have always used charcoal sticks they are the best for absorption,\...
  6. When I order samples I never buy or try samples from suppliers that just offer 1/2 ounce...I always order samples from suppliers that offer 1 ounce samples...just a thought
  7. I have been doing incense for years and the best for fragrance throw is charcoal sticks...instead of the cheap punk sticks...you might want to try these....just do a search for charcoal incense sticks
  8. Just my opinion...but I think when you start out mom and pop operation(small scale) AND then progress into a successful enterprise you really lose track of what really made you successful in the begininng...to me customer service is THE Key to to success...bcn stated that they would not take rain checks etc...and now all of a sudden they are going to extend the sale when the shipment arrives...I feel that anyone who ordered during that sale period when they were out of stock...should receive the same price when the new shipment arrives...I think the only reason they are extending the sale in DEC...is because of the bad pr...that was started on this board...
  9. You might also consider wrapping your containers with an old thick sock...just cut out the toe and put around the container before pouring. I usually heat the container with the heat gun right before I pour...and then put in a styrofoam cooler...I almost never have wet spots...
  10. Just from my experience with soy I would think the candle would almost snuff out at 1/8" inch...but it really would depend on the size and the type of wick. Just my opinion.
