  1. Well, IL has DPS...we are better off than many states in that regard.
  2. Those are absolutely beautiful. But from the looks of the date the thread was posted, we may not get a quick response.
  3. That looks great! Do you have your floaters embedded in gel wax or water? That looks pretty cool.
  4. I like #5 best. It reminds of the Eddie Bauer signature. Really classy and balanced. It also looks like a "natural", "clean" signature. Looks like money. Ha. JMO. It may just be me, but at first glance #2 looks like Bella Bears to me as well.
  5. That happened to me once. I ordered a CD from ebay and never received it. After a few weeks had gone by, I contacted the seller. She/he sent me the tracking report which showed it was delivered. That sucked. I gave the seller a positive rating and choked it up as a lost. It wasn't the seller's fault but that didn't change the fact that I had paid for something I didn't receive. I'm sure some of you have experienced this with suppliers and it is a sucky feeling.
  6. NattyCat, I have my name trademarked as well. That's something you should think about.
  7. Sorry...I didn't read the entire thread before replying.
  8. How about "Seventh Scent" Seventh is often synonymous to bliss. And when I look Seventh up in the thesaurus I get: celestial throne, cloud nine, empyrean, heaven of heavens, nirvana, throne of God. Sounds blissful to me.
  9. I'm wondering what type of mold release did they use?
  10. Thanks Top...that really helped. I am hoping this wax is forgiving and not too hard to work with. I can drive and pick up wax from this distributor rather than pay for shipping. That makes life much, much easier.
  11. Thanks Top. DPS is in moderate distance from my little town so I just wanted to start testing wax I can afford to keep buying. I'm finding out very quickly that this is an expensive hobby. I'm liking it nonetheless.
  12. Has anyone ever used R2540? and if so, what other paraffin is it comparable to as I have not head much talk about this wax specifically? I have just ordered a sample of it and would appreaciate any feedback on it if possible. Thanks in advance.
  13. The new "newbie" on the block. Just had my first order come in: case of paraffin, some color blocks, wicks, and UV. Making my very first pillars. Wish me well. Happy Birthday Heather. Welcome to the "Club 32".
  14. I remember seeing that on here too...I think someone stated 1343 and 1343A were the same however, 1343N was nonmottling. Sorry to bump the thread like that. Just a newbie taking notes and testing and sitting back learning. :tiptoe: *rolling my lil inexperienced rump back over to the corner"
  15. It's about 6'' in height, the base of the box is about 4'' and the width is about 2''. It looks like a rectangular brick. I hope that makes things clearer as I confused people well.
  16. I think the container is safe as it is made of the same material as a milk carton or juice box. I am just starting to pour paraffins and am just taking a conservative approach to it. So rather than buy molds, for now I'm using what I have. As far as safety, I will supervise the candle as I am testing paraffin pillar waxes right now. Thanks for the suggestions. Oh, my measurements are 6'' height, 4'' wide and just under 2'' in diameter.
  17. I am going to take my little cardboard container out the trash and try it out for size since I've received some great input. Besides, no one will see it burn but me. So, I can spare myself the embarrassment, right?
  18. Oooo...I like that one too...All of the ideas sound so great. One thing that is nice about them all is that they have a warm ring to it...very innocent and honest sounding, something people look for these days.
  19. **tossing the cardboard container**....thanks, I was just curious.
  20. I'm a newbie. This is my third post on this site. Are you from the South or just live in the country. I'm from the South and the first thing I think of is Southern Hospitality. Just kicking out an idea... Giving you Southern Hospitality that makes you want to melt (as in wax)... or "Bringing you Hospitality that makes you want to melt" ... Just thought it was a good catch phrase that alludes to good customer service as well.. Okay...it corny isn't it?
  21. Hello all, This is my first post on the general discussion board. I am considering making a pillar candle in a homemade mold. The dimensions are 6 in tall, 4 in wide and 1 1/2 in diameter. Considering I can find the appropriate wick, will the diameter allow for a safe melt pool?
