  1. Deeken, First, WELCOME! I'm a newbie and find each month some kind of way to squuueeezzzeee a little more out of the budget for a new FO or wax I want to try, my suggestions are this... Presto Kitchen Kettle-Walmart $22.00 Candy them- Walmart $2.75 Pack of wooden spoons- Walmart $1.75 The jarstore will send you 4 sample jars to try for free. Peaks has a very nice wick sampler. I would be glad to send you some FO's to try. Do some looking around, find a wax you would be intersted in and then click the search button on this site, it is a GREAT resourse. THEN, find a supply co. close to you and call to see if they have SAMPLE sizes and prices. Hope this helps, good luck to you!
  2. I placed an order yesterday afternoon around 3:00, I received it today at 1:00. Grant it they are only 2 1/2 hours away, but thats darn fast service to me! AND, Crystal was SUPER nice!! Just thought I'd share.

  4. Has anyone tried the Eco8 in the 8oz square mason? It was a toss between the LX24 and the Eco, I chose Eco. Bad choice? Congrat Jak!
  5. I'm just starting with the soy and I'm planning to go colorless. For a cleaner look. But I to would like to know what their customers think.

  8. Beth- so you would not reccommend? LOL Is there another soy wax blend that will give the same look, that crystalized look?
  9. I just ordered a sample of this wax because I like the effects it gives...THEN I did a search to see if anyone here hs used it and I see a 50/50 response on the Happy Meter. Is anyone using this wax that likes it?? (Crossing my fingers)
  10. I emailed the seller and they said they bought them in bulk and didn't know what they where. However, I took the advice and counted the strands, there are 30 w/5 of them being a dark brown color. It is a flat braided wick, coated. Does this help?

  12. My mother bought me some wicks from Ebay. God love her, there is no description of the wicks, size, etc. All I know is that they are cotton, pretabbed and kind of yellowish looking. How do I tell what size and kind they are? TIA!

  14. Hold the Presses...What's your secret to "Guessing" for each FO? Strong FO, bigger wick??? I'm going to get this wick thing down yet.

  16. For those of you who round label the lid, what size do you use? Do you use Avery? ((Measure the darn jar you say?? LOL, if I could find a blinkin ruler, I would)) Thanks again.

  18. I ditto this question. Should the darker colors and heavier scents be on the bottom??
  19. I am melting at 175, pouring at 130, I heat my jars and pour slow. I still get lines, little bubbles and sometimes, stars against my jars. Not to mention the wet spots. Any suggestions??
  20. I got a new HP photosmart printer!! :yay: Only problem is, I don't have any labels and my computer is being worked on. LOL! Talk about double edged sword! I also received new jars, wax and scents. Oh, and a new Kitchen Kettle :yay: I'm on cloud 9! I hope you all stay dry and safe, it's getting dark outside as we speak.
