yep i do the same thing.. i go to my Family Dollar Store or Dollar Store General and they have glass plates in the candle isle and i use those.. they work wonderfully.. for the bears.. it also makes the bears look very nice and elegant sitting atop a pretty decorative plate.. hope this helps you out..

i ordered some too last night.. and received a personal email reply from them within an hour that they would be shipping my order today i'm so excited !!! i ordered 100 diffrent scratch offs and it was only 9.00 which i didn't think was bad at all along with the free shipping.. just think of the return business you could get with these little guys i will probally make each scratch off card a winner of some sort.. maybe a couple of larger prizes ( like a free candle) (free 12 ct bag of tarts) etc. but the rest i am planning on making free bars of soaps, free sampler of lotion, sampler 2 ct tarts, etc. if they have winning cards i would think all that try your product will come back for more along with there winning card !! I'm excited and can't wait to try my hand at making scratch off tickets

there cyclo spray is really really good.. its a bit more expensive.. but it works so good with all oils.. the scents last forever.. and it only takes one spritz. i did some pink sugar.. and its the bomb.. with the cyclo.. really really good !! i have also used there oils in candles.. i agree..its a hit and miss.. but like was mentioned.. that happens with any supplier and 100 % soy.. all in all.. i would have to say.. bittercreek is a+ .. i placed an order today.. and they shipped today as well.. any supplier that does that.. is number # 1 !!! i love there tart warmers !!!! give them a try.. i truely don't think you will be sorry:cheesy2:

does anyone know if any local craft supply stores carry aroma sheets ? i'm going shopping today.. and thought i would take a look at possilby hobby lobby, joannes fabrics, ben franklin. has anyone seen these in the stores? i will be ordering but i thought if i go out today i'd check it out..

its a bummer.. i never did well with ebay.. i just feel there are so many people out there looking for the best.. best.. deals possible.. i would just get so frustrated.. you just can't sell them that cheap.. thats the shame of it all.. and i would get so upset when i try to buy something off ebay.. theres always someone there.. to outbit me at the last minute.. grrrrrr !!!! makes me mad.. i would try spreading the word about your candles in other ways.. work.. local shops.. anyway but ebay.. don't get me wrong.. i love ebay.. i really do.. and i have found so many unique cool items but to sell.. i suck at it !!

hello.. everyone.. has everyone seen the cool scratch off sheets they offer at kangaroo blue ?? oh my goodness... i found them this weekend.. under there marketing section.. i have been trying to figure out how i could possibly offer my customers something fun along with there orders.. i found it i am totally thrilled.. there little stickers that you put over your discount.. or free items.. on your cards.. just like a regular scratch off card.. they even have a template.. you can just print if off.. and edit to whatever kinds of discounts you want to give your customers.. put the sticker over.. give it to your customer and they scratch off to claim there prize !!! this would be awesome for return orders !!! i'm off to order some today !!! i'm also looking for marketing tools to bring customers back.. and it really works.. most of my buisness is from word of mouth.. everyone has family.. and it has been working great !!! i also do a referal program... its called refer a friend.. i just send a card along with there orders.. stating if they refer a friend.. they will receive a 5.00 coupon.. and so will there friend.. when placing an order of 25.00 or more.. yes.. there was a loss at first.. but it really helped to bring more customers in.. its exciting and fun.. for me.. and my customers.. does anyone else do anything else fun.. to have repeat customers and gain new customers ?? i would love to hear what everyone else does in the marketing dept ??

hello i would like to start dabbling in the new cardboard air fresheners.. i have placed an order for some of the colored shapes but i would also like to order some of the shapes that kangeroo blue also has.. as i need to order some other things from them.. the thing is kangaroo blue does not offer them in color.. i would really like my shapes all in color.. and i was just brain storming wondering how i could color them.. i was wondering what you all thought.. about possibly using watered down food coloring to color the paper shapes ?? has anyone tried this ? do you think it would work ? i don't want to use paint.. i think acrylics would be just to heavy on this paper.. and i don't think the fo would even soak into the paper.. if painted on that way.. i would love to hear any suggestions.. thanks for all your wonderful help. it is so wonderful to come here and no matter what type of question i may have i receive so many wonderful responses.. i just love it..

hello was wondering if anyone uses soyloutions for a supplier.. i ordered a couple of there scents.. and they seem just wonderful oob.. i loved them all !!! i haven't had time to test yet.. but was wondering how well they perform in soy ?? i'm going to be testing today.. and will let you know... there hungarian lilac is awesome oob.. and so is there clothespins scent.. so clean and fresh.. just wonderful.. off to test..

hello i was wondering if anyone knows of a place where i could purchase wick trimmers at a reasonable price.. most of the trimmers i've seen run any where from 9.95-12.95 i'm not sure if i could find them for less than that.. does anyone know of a source for them ? thanks much

Hello everyone i was wondering if when you give your candles to friends or co-workers to test for you do you also give them a rate sheet ? did i say that right ?? what i would like to do is give a couple of candles and a couple of scents of tarts to a couple of ladies to test for me... i would also like to send a rating from 1-10 sheet but i just can't think of many questions to ask.. except .. how well did the candle perform ? how well did the candle burn ? and how was the hot throw of the candle while it was burning. can anyone think of other important questions that need to be answered while testing someones candle ?? thanks for your help on this one ld

hello i was wondering if anyone else experiences having problems making tarts this time of the year ? gosh, last night i made some.. and they were so bad i had to put them away for myself.. there soft.. and just didn't seem to set up at all.. i have always used 100 % soy but sure had problems last night.. the weather is really changing quickly here.. this weekend it is soppose to be in the 90's so its kind of damp and muggy.. do you think this could have been the reason for the horrible looking tarts ? i have used votive/tart wax from ky and it worked really good.. i may have to go back to it for this time of the year.. the reason i stick with soy is because i love the clean up.. its so much easier... thanks for your help

I couldn't help myself.. i went ahead and ordered a 16 oz bottle of lilac from Rustic Essentials.. I did a search for the hungarian lilac.. and found it right away.. i also ordered a sample pak .. i just couldn't decide which one to get so i picked the "employees favorite" i love surprises

need some more help.. i have a request for this one.. coconut lime fragrance.. does anyone know if theres one out there like this ? i may just mix my own and see what happens. also does anyone have any ideas on baby shower favors ? i have been asked to come up with some ideas on favors for about 30 guests, but they do not want to spend all that much i offered to make small baby food jars filled with a baby hugs fragrance but.. i would have to charge atleast 1.50 to make it even worth my time.. and she kind of cringed at that.. i don't know .. i thought about a baby type tart in a satin tie bag.. but there again i would have to charge atleast 1.50 .. i don't know what else.. is possible.. any ideas ?
