    When I get a chance I will check out the yahoo groups on liquid soap making. I didn't use the alcohol method. I could never find what I thought was the right kind of alcohol so I just used the regular cook and dilute method. We have to compare notes. Did you ph test yours yet? I am waiting on PH strips from a nice lady on here.

    Guppy girl - Good job on your first batch of LS. Fun isn't it? I was hoping that there was something a bit simpler to thicken it. I have tried the Crothix and wasn't completely satisfied with that. Anyone ever try using Guar Gum? I know it is used in cooking applications.

    Thank you ladies. I will try those two and go from there. I think all I have on hand is 5/0, and LX 30 and a 62 cotton and 60 zinc.

    Has anyone had occasion to thicken their liquid soap? Mine dissolved beautifully in what I think must have been the perfect amount of boiling distilled water but it is a just a tad thin for my liking. Any ideas for thickening it?

    I am forever finding things I forgot I had. I found a quart bottle of Turkey Red Oil (sulfonated castor oil) and I cannot remember WHY I bought it. Any ideas what I can do with this?

    I made some soap off the Snowdrift recipe yesterday and it is awesome so far. It dissolved beautifully which is the problem I had before. I have not tested the PH yet because I am waiting on ph strips.

    I am looking for an exact dupe of this B&BW discontinued fragrance. I don't like the one sweetcakes has. It is not good in CP at all.

    I am addicted to B&BW Bergamot Coriander and now they have discontinued that fragrance. I tried the one from sweet cakes...oh yuck..it was terribly nasty. Any other addicts out there that have found a great bergamot coriander? Teresa

    I sell my 16 ounce mason jar for 12 normally but for a fund raiser I bump it up to $15 and give the group 50%. I have not gotten alot of repeat business as a result and that is why I keep my prices high enough to make it worth my time.

    My little post office only cares if it is hazardous. I told them it was fragrance for candles and they dont' have a problem with it.
