My absolute most favorite pumpkin bread! Next in line that is similar but less zucchini for those who hate zucchini blends would be WSP pumpkin bread.

Even though this oil throws well, I may actually like NG Mrs. Claus Cookies version better and it is cheaper than WSP.

The best, most true jelly doughnut smell you can get. To my nose, it has the dough, the tart jelly and the sweet powdered sugar.

Description reads:
"Natural Pillar/Votive Wax makes beautiful free standing candles. Available in pellet form for easy handling, the wax is a mixture of the finest Palm and Coconut oils resulting in candles with an excellent burn and scent throw. This product does not contain any paraffin."
Has anyone stuck with this over the years and love it?
-
So for those throwing in some wax with the oil directly on the warmer...
Does this mean you get a great long throw without melting the wax and binding it to the oil initially, then left to cure as we do with tarts?

Well I ordered the 129 for my first attempt at melts. We'll see how it goes!
Do let us know how it goes

Interesting, but maybe this person will not be as lucky with all oils.

Pffft! I heat my palm as high as 110 degrees F and add FO when its over 200. Burning off fragrance oil is just one of those urban myths that keeps getting passed around ad nauseum.
Remember that FOs made for candlemaking are made to endure high heating temps. They have to or very soon candlemakers would not have durable scents to use in candlmaking. I think some people just forget that or don't think about that.
Agreed...found this out the hard way when all of my wax was sweating oils weeks later and not from the FO load, it resolved upon adding at higher temperatures (same FO %).

I was thinking of trying Palm, until I read this from Candle Science. Is this bound to happen with more suppliers??
Not really, this from CS was MANY years ago and several suppliers still carry palm. You will find SOMETHING about EVERY wax good and bad. You either stick to what you know and stand behind your product for reasons you chose it in the first place OR you go along with the soy "all natural" false information hype just to avoid confrontation/educating your customers. There are many threads on here upon a search regarding this article.

I’m distrusting these coconut manufacturers and retailers More every day. Maybe it is time to just switch back to IGI paraffins. At least those waxes work consistently and they are HONEST.
AGREED, along with CW blends.

So far I am finding palm to throw just as good as paraffin with good oils. Sarah, you think 125 is better for bakery I see. So you do all bakery in 125 and the rest in palm as 2 separate candle lines? What do your customers tend to go for the most?

I have sent some melts to 8 coworkers in many different scents, one being PPW and one pumpkin pancakes. What can I say, I like pumpkin oils 🤷♀️
I just asked them (without them knowing why I asked). They ALL say PPW and pumpkin pancakes are totally different. PPW has a more sharp, almost nutty note whereas pumpkin pancakes is a warmer, more spiced/cinnamon type note.

Thank you both!
Yes, upon many weeks of research on palm ...Candybee comes up quite often and she knows her stuff. That is how I knew to start with CSN and I sure am appreciative on the chandlers who share their experience. Even though we all usually end up with different outcomes in this craft, it is nice to have a starting point.
The premiers I already had lying around and seen some on here have tried it with palm for a "more behaved" flame so I figured why not. The CSN can be...well which we all know.
Time will tell I guess

So Candybee you feel the appearance difference is worth the extra expense of GG vs CW I assume? I feel that all palm looks beautiful so if the performance and throw is merely identical, I do not mind saving a bit per case. I see they also carry RRD wicks which I am currently comparing to CSN and Premier. It would be nice to get wicks at the same place as wax to combine shipping. However, I will use what is best performance and not what is more convenient if it is a huge difference. I understand CS has CSN wicks made specifically for palm and that each wick has a different coating but I have debated on trying CDN. I wonder if CDN is very close to CSN...just CSN with CS name on it. All we can do is test for ourselves, but I surely would not want to get the CDN if they are close to CSN due to shipping costs for such a small test. Thank you for your info Candybee!

@Trappeur, if you really want a wax that throws like crazy, you have got to try Candlewic's CBL-125!!!
It's soooo easy to use, it's not finicky about pouring temp at all, it's a single-pour, wicks like a dream with HTPs, and oh my gosh the HT is fantastic! I'm burning a 16oz apothecary jar double wicked with HTP 73, 7% Carrot Cake from Aztec, and it is filling my whole downstairs level. I love this wax!
I agree with @Candybee about palm wax, they Crystal Palm 1 from Candlewic is my #2 favorite wax. I think the CT is superior to CBL-125, and the HT is comparable. For bakery I prefer the 125, for everything else the palm is excellent. I don't always color my palm wax, and I think the crystals look just as pretty. I make my daughter a Jack Frost (vanilla and mint) type candle with Crystal Palm, and I keep it white, and it is gorgeous with that particular FO. Oh and wicking the Palm is super easy, I have found I don't need to wick up or down dependent of the FO - once you find the correct wick for your jar, you are good to go! CSNs have worked great for me, on advice from @Candybee.
Sarah, do you feel the CW container palm compares to glass glow? So you use 2 different waxes in your candles and customers do not seem to mind?

The most realistic and strongest I have found. Blindfolded customers would think you're holding the box up to their nose rather than a product.
