Where did you get the gel? Is it Penreco?
-
I never heat my gel that high. I also don't add fragrance til it is under 200. High density gel is the thickest of the 3 kinds so med would be even runnier. It has the consistancy of jello. hope this helps some.

You could also try using a cookie cutter.

I like the glasses that look like a cactus what wick did you use for those if you don't mind my asking. Also, it seems every wick I try with gel if I blow it out it smokes is this typical of gel?
I use mostly the gel wicks & they do smoke a bit but not as bad as regular wicks. I use a wick dipper to put out my candles, stops the smoking.

Vicky I have the cactus glasses to try. What wicks do you use?? Did you cut up chunks of gel to look like ice cubes?? I don't have to work til late tomorrow so if I get the housework done maybe I can play with gel:yay:

Thanks everyone. Just delivered them yesterday be interesting to see what sells the best.

I really like those and want to try them too. Just wondering what size wick you would use to get to melt out to the sides.
I'm wondering the same thing!!!

Thank you Vicky. Is it safe to use real salt?? I like the idea of the glass beads. I'm gonna have to try some of these on my day off!!

Hi all I want to learn to make the gel drink like the one pictured here that looks like a margarita

I'm not sure about doing the salt around the rim. Does anyone make these & are you willing to share your secrets??!!

The following is for informational and entertainment purposes only.
About 15 years ago one of my card numbers was stolen. They made various charges for merchandise to be delivered to them, as well as some local purchases at a Chinese restaurant (without the card?). Anyway, I notified the police in the city, as well as the card company. The police said that since the card company had refunded the money, it was not a crime against me, so I could not have them arrested. The card company said they were not going to go after anyone since the total amount was only about $800. So I visited the person (was only an hour away) and confirmed they had indeed stolen my number (they did not know who I was or why I was there). I wonder how much it cost to replace their Jeep...
Cheers,
Steve
I do not endorse or even suggest any type of visit to anyone involved in credit card fraud, let the authorities do their job.
Remind me not to piss you off:laugh2:

Those look great Steve. I like #2 the best but they are definately not the prim look. Beautiful!!
I may have to try some of those.

How about we don't start a 4th thread about the same issue?

Very pretty but messy!!! I did do some of the chunks in gel in various colors & they were beautiful but the longer they sat the colors blended together. I agree with trying to keep uncovered gel clean almost impossible!!

I went and poked around there last night and bought the rose mold myself. Man it's beautiful!
I really like her molds. I too madea list after I posted the link. Have to use some of the tax return for me!!!!

Alright Steve!! the only consignment shop I'm in now only takes 10% and no monthly rent so that is good. Had bad experiences with other shops. The 70/30 is good. Hope you sell lots!!

WOW those are beautiful! Great job:yay:

Cathy, we could charge $1000.00 a candle if we wanted. Good Luck trying to sell any!
Yeah that would be nice!!!

Maybe you should mention the supplier in your rant. Otherwise, what's the point?
