2) I’ve had some that just won’t burn in the same package as those tested successfully. Hard to retail those when it’s a crapshoot if they will even light and stay lit.
Hi Tall was this your experience with Wooden Wick co wicks? Or are you referring to another company?

Air current in that particular jar and wax/wick/fo
that makes sense
i wonder if i can use a different jar and pour less at the top to mimic those favorable air currents in half jar testing to reduce cure time (thinking out-loud)

When I make a half jar candle with 9% fragrance I can cure the candle for 24-48 hours, light it and it will fill the whole living room, very strong throw. But the same scent made to full jar capacity (to the top of jar) will not have scent throw when I light it within 24-48 hours?
These are flint 8oz jars I'm using. 464 wax
I have tried this with 8 different scents from 3 different brands.

i hear ya......i meant luxury/avant garde in terms of the marketing angle...but they could still be affordable

This candle made "favorite things 2019"
I've never seen a candle with so many waxes
"Wax is a natural blend of coconut, soy, beeswax, apricot oil, and paraffin with a lead-free cotton wick. "

very nice. invest in good photography and branding and you can market as luxury, avant garde candles

IMO best coconut I've found is Mahagony Coconut at Flaming Candle...the coconut in there is superb...would be a dream to to get it isolated

Easy, peasy. Print mirrored text on a clear label, place that on the outside of the jar, and cover it with a solid label so you can only see it from the inside. Works like a charm.
you should be compensated and credited for this idea

I use liquid dyes in beeswax and soy. No specks and jet black wax.
@TallTayl Where do you buy your black liquid dyes? The powder option isn't working for me

Sorry this happened. How are you liking the wicks?
-
They are located in California one of America's fragrance capitals (after New York). They probably get their stuff from a perfumer over there with minimal cut (not much carrier oils)
-
Loved the look (crater free) of problend. Hated the chemical/paraffin undertone (not good for sensitive noses/people), sooting and relative underwhelming hot throw...i moved on to 464

Yup
injecting that much oxygen and air current is making it combust more hotly at that moment. You might be well off to try another wick
you mean when i blow it out it's getting more oxygen and air current?
do i wick up or down?
