  1. the Pink Lemonade is awesome... I put it in a lotion bar and love it!
  2. This thread convinced me I needed this... wow! The smell is fantastic and it soaks right in to the skin! A little dab goes a really long way! I dipped my finger in rubbed on my hands into my arms then my hair...then on my dogs topknot ponytails! lol They get my leftovers! This stuff is awesome!
  3. beautiful colors! perfect for spring!!!!
  4. Looks good to me... especially when I am chicken to even try! My "meatballer" is sitting on a shelf in the wrapper still! The second one does look like those textured gum balls in the machine... good marketing ploy maybe! lol
  5. Thanks for the input gals... I appreciate it! I have all the additives you mentioned so will deffinitely be playing with adding them. Maybe I am just spoiled by my lather from shower gels! Would 2T castor, 1T glycerin and 1T shea be too much pp? I am thinking that is what I will try first with the pinch of sugar.
  6. Michi What I did was made the clear with the colors I wanted to try and poured it into my pan (I used the aluminum throw away cake pan) then let it cool and set up and sliced it with the crinkle cutter. Then I took the pan again and laid the stripes in there and poured my white scented base over it while the white was still warm. The white seeped in between all the crinkles to hold it together. I did have to cut the top (which was the bottom of the pan) just a bit to take the white layer that formed under it off. Make sense? Ask Val I am always clear as mud! lol When I cut them the layers stayed all together and held great... took it in the shower and it stayed together so I guess this works. But even after adding 1T castor pp it still doesnt have a great lather. Husband can get lather on his hairy chest and arms but I would have to be gorilla woman to get mine to lather! <not happening! lol> Thats why we need a newbie swap..so we can all learn how and what we can add! Any suggestions on what I can add instead or in addition.... I know you cant add much to a base and the rule of thumb is 1T pp right <Lord knows I have been wrong before and will be again>? FYI I am still "trying" bases... my clear is WSP's Crafters Choice and the white is NG's. I was told WSP's was a great base but lathering issues bug me.
  7. what a totally kewl idea!! great job!!!
  8. They have some 3.3oz Clear PET Ovals now tho for $4.35 for 48.... bit smaller and not low profile but maybe they will work for some that missed the others.
  9. Gorgeous colors! Beautiful... now remember some people dont like scent... sell it as "fragrance free"!
  10. I had the very edge layers come apart but the others stuck together. But I dont know if this made a difference or not... my stripes were very cooled by the time I sliced them all then the white overpour was only cooled til it formed the first skin. Maybe it slightly melted the others to stick? For the swirls I just did a thin layer of the white then drizzled (used a pippete and dont recommend that at all as it clogs! lol) the colors then more white and so on. I am going to try with a spoon or a syringe and maybe get more swirl effect than tye dye. Ok so 3 for a newbie swap.... hey Grumpy where R U? lol
  11. Grumpy...do a newbie swap.. I know Val and I will do it! <see me volunteering you Val!!> lol
  12. Its more of a "drizzle" lol.... thank you =)
  13. Just playing The pink stripe is JS's Pink Lemonade The blue is my attempts at swirling... I just cant get a good swirl but its fun trying! Scented Very Sexy for Men. FYI Hobby Lobby has all soap stuff 1/3 off... they had some neat molds when I was in there tonight.
  14. A few weeks ago there was a thread on these and I cant find it for nothing. But thank you for posting the idea it was fun! But I did try them=) Fun but wow do the hands hurt after "sharpening" them! <thanks Val for the courage!! >
  15. Val you asked for it you got it! lol I tried! I poured them in the condiment cups (dishes) that they have in walmart so they are wider but they arent deep enough I dont think. But you told me to try so I did!! Thank you for being so encouraging!
  16. These are STUNNING! Fantastic job!!
  17. Bath bombs... yeah that will happen! lol I have seen to many have horror stories with them. My molder/baller/whatchamacallit will sit on my shelf for awhile longer! <along with about 50 other things!> Thanks for the quick response Bunny!
  18. I made these today and cant wait to try them out! I dont have a fridge at my shop so I put them on the shelf in my stock room... stays pretty cool in there... so will it take them longer to harden up? I was wondering to could we sub the starch (or part of it) for natrasorb maybe? I got some and have been wanting to try it in something!
  19. They look beautiful! You never know what someone else will think about the scent! Candle scents I think will never sell go fast and the ones I love sit there sometimes in my shop so dont give up!!!
