  2. Flaws, what flaws? Looks good to me.
  3. Yes, the glaze is Gel, just make sure your fragrance is gel safe.
  4. Go to a hardware store (Ace hardware) and ask for metal repair tape. http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1301851&cp=&kw=metal+tape&pare ntPage=search&searchId=10539071461

  9. check out my new logo that BizzyB made! She was wonderful to work with and was quick with the design. Check her out at www.studiobeckdesign.com I will be having other work done by her:D
  10. Tucker, good luck on your surgery. Is there any chance you'll be able to make candles again sometime after? I know you do beautiful work and I would hate to see it end. I love looking at your candles.
  11. I just tell them the truth, that I have a few online suppliers that I buy from in bulk, tell them your wax comes in 55lb boxes at xx amount perr pound and your oil comes in 16oz bottles at xx per oz. (let them think they have to spend some money and they change there mind)
  12. candlescience has die chips, salmon or melon would do it for you. For my peach I used one melon/or salmon(I couldnt tell a differance with these colors) chip per pound of wax and got a color like your pic.
  13. Being in the same state as candle science, I've tried them out. I love being able to drive there and pick up my wax and jars and as Mei-Mei said they have great customer service. The scents that I tried have a great hot throw, I love there peach. As always order a handful of samples to try for yourself, so if you dont like it, you wont be out of a lot of $$$.
  14. Tucker, the tape that Candle man posted is the same kind that I've been using(ever since I found out the hard way that duc tape is not a good tape to use:wink2: )
  15. Love that Layered Magnolia one
  16. I feel your pain, last April I lost all of my notes, along with all of my equipment, supplys, roof over our head, everything to a house fire. In a case like this, the only thing you can do is look for a bright/good side, sometimes its harder than others but theres always a bright side.
  17. Larry, I've ordered from there parent co, tri state candle and was very pleased with them, I just placed a order with tri state and they shipped them from Carolina candle due to shipping being cheaper for me, so if you order from them your order might ship from tri state candle in W.VA.
  18. I've used superglue before, no problem. I now use a high temp glue gun now.
  19. Yes, Dustpuppy i am talking about the relief holes. (BTW this she is actually a he:) ) When you poke the relief holes, dont you poke the skewer almost to the bottom? If so, will the colors of the layers get mixed if your doing a layered candle? Thanks for the info so far.
  20. I've always washed mine by hand and dried it with a papertowel.
  21. Thanks, I had,nt thought of a swril, I'll have to try that.
  22. Candle science has sampler packs of each type they sell, but not all in one package (zinc kit, tealight kit, LX kit, etc)
  23. I'm almost done with the pre blended wax that I had, so now I'm getting ready to use IGI 1343A wax. My question is what do I need to add to it to get the creamy look that I had with the preblended. Also someone had posted about a cammo candle, so I tried it with black and dark green chunks with a light green overpour and I'm not happy with the results(will post a pic later today) so I was thinking about a rustic layered pillar, My question is how do you do the breathing holes and the overpour/repour?
