On the HC's

I used Vaseline, then with a brush coated flowers in hot wax and let it cool before pouring. Used metal mold with insert and you could probably not use the insert, lots of wax to fill though. Plus the added heat when not using insert would probably make the flowers float down........

Acrylic paint holding up so far, yeah!

tonyjazz love the hurricanes; But may I ask why the Vaseline and how do you applied it in the hurricane base or the flowers with the hat wax

You can also rotate your candle 45* ever so often, that will help also.

I guess it depends on your definition of ''active''. I learned everything I know about candlemaking from this forum and I make a pretty damn good candle. When I was new, I did ask a few questions but mostly I read and read, searched and searched but I certainly did not expect anyone to spoon-feed me.

If you don't like it here, you can move on to a more active forum.

I use the t-perf shrink wraps too, the label seems to get so dirty and yucky looking if I don't.
