Thanks for the reply it was very helpful now I know My mistake

i left my oils to cool down to low and when i pour it it was like

a medium trace lets hope i have some soap in a few months :laugh2:

But at the end this board was very helpful it made me

Just remember that it's nothing like coconut oil - it's had the "hard" part of the fatty acids removed so it won't give you the same qualities as regular coconut oil - it's not a replacement.

can you help me with something else. i did the calculation on the

(soap calc) and it tells me that coconut oil 76 or 92 degrese. what does that mean.

Can you please tell me if Coconut oil (fractionated) is ok to used

as oil in a resipe for Cp soap

You can try to use a lighter oil. I use ako and hemp. Mango buttter is a little less oily and so is Kpanga. It is thick as spatreats4u said. It will get harder as it sets. You can try whipping it less and it will be softer but not thinner.

you can seach these boards for recipes or just type in the words and a TON of info is everywhere...perhaps more help & ideas that you may have not found before.

As of the Shea are you hand mixing or whipping w/ mixer? Shea will be thick & greasy...its a thicker butter and made for smaller areas like elbows, knees etc...If you want something smoother, lighter you could try a lotion or emulsified recipe. HTH

i got the recipe from here and i whipp it w/mixer here is the recipe

16 oz shea butter

5 oz sweet almond oil

1 oz vitamin E

2 tsp corn starch
