  1. Not to mention the interesting comments the wife had to say publicly about who the owner is as a person to employees not getting paid etc.  Seems a bit unstable this quick of a turnaround.  However, it may be even better this time than the previous as far as stock goes...who knows.  Hope it all goes well though as I have heard nothing but great things regarding their oils, just haven't tried many yet.

The replacement wax sent to me is working perfectly so far.  It has Lot C 3/25/17 on the label.

So does this mean any lot after 3/25/17 is back to normal?  I was debating on still testing 415 and 464 in the future as part of a parasoy blend (love the creamy appearance, cold throw, richness of bakery scents, longevity and FOs seem to always mix seamlessly), but reluctant after reading all the soy issues this year along with how finicky it can be vs paraffin with oil selection.

I would love to try Candle Soylutions but it seems like shipping was really high. Does she have good oils?

I too just came across this supplier and many oils sound unique and their descriptions suck me in! Haha. Anyone still use them?  Favorites?

  4. I admit the candle source website is a bit more difficult to order from, but their products are worth it.  You can have a beautiful website with the easiest navigation in the world, but have horrible items.  Just my opinion though.

Which wax or tart wax do you use from them . Ive never ordered anything from them before. What state are they in ? The "new" Eco soya waxes are not out

yet from what I can see anyhow, looks like sometime in August.

    Hi Moonstar!

I am testing their tart wax and they're in Ohio.  :)

Some discoloration can be normal and doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong.

I thought the same especially since sometimes soy naturally appears more off white to me and not everything is consistent to a T each batch I am sure.

However, because so many people are having issues right now... I would test asap.

This is the only reason I questioned my coloring and batch.

IGI sent me this back in response to me asking if it's normal then why is it yellow..

"Sorry Kim, I’m not aware of any issues. The product is within spec, even if it’s in the lower colour range."

A color range? Wouldn't you be able to articulate what causes differences in color if there's a color range? She also suggesting contacting my supplier if I'm not happy with the product. CS doesn't feel that it's a widespread issue so I'm not sure what else to do. I'll wait and see how it tests I guess.

    Ugh:rolleyes:

  8. I really hope a resolution is to come as so many use their businesses to feed their families and take care of things.  I thought about sticking with paraffin for melts to avoid soy inconsistencies but I hear this happens with every wax, so there is no escape.  I guess if we all keep purchasing with no voice when things aren't right, the suppliers just keep making their money and go on about packing orders.

  9. Well I was going to order from candle science to compare since another poster on here definitely has a difference from BA vs candle science (candle science looked better), but after reading that you ordered from them with the same result...I am assuming it's "normal" or something is up with IGI.  There are a couple of others I have spoken with on here that states there is slightly more yellow than say 4630 and their performance isn't compromised.  However, I am not impressed at all with this wax. I just want to be sure that I am giving it an accurate review based on if it is defective or not.

Every wax I've ever used has advantages and disadvantages. If your anal retentive and never satisfied like me... then you will never be completely happy.

Both of these statements are true!

However,  I find less wrong with 6006 than the others... PLUS because its partially soy you can tell customers they are a soy blend which is great to hook both regular candle lovers who dont care and the ones who insist on soy for some bazaar misguided reason. I say that because it truly seems like soy is starting to tank ( as far as quality of pure soy candles). I like being able to sell to both markets/demands. All that being said, I don't think you beat the HT of 4627 comparing apples to apples and no other variables. But.. I also think 4627 is often overkill anyway. To me 6006 hits the spot. My customers love the HT without it being so strong it knocks you over and bothers your nose. Lol. Also... 6006 being partially soy last longer than straight parrafin customers are used to buying off the shelf. Again... selling a great candle that lost longer than normal. hard to beat.

The hardest thing to get used to with 6006 is the MP is deceiving. It doesn't seem completely liquidy often... more like a slushy look and not as deep. But its actually a good thing. The throw is awesome, gets less hot than straight parrafin and last longer as I mentioned.

Thank you so much, I definitely need to see if I can get a replacement or else I will not be satisfied or trust this batch as it sits right now.
