  1. @Candybee Thank you for all the info. I'm making "real" shampoos, etc., not CP soap. I've used a few combinations of EOs & like all of them, other than them being a little strong, but honestly I've never gotten anything in my eyes that I can recall. My husband uses them & hasn't said anything.

I've tried NG's Fresh Fruit Slices but I think it smells like baby aspirin, haha. I like Shea & Coconut from WSP. It's not a suntan lotion coconut if you know what I mean. I also like NG's Coconut Cream Pie, but I haven't tried it in CP, only hair conditioner & wax. It's weak in wax to me but edible in the hair conditioner.  :) WSP is coming out with some new coconut FOs I want to try too. I'm looking for a green apple. Most reviews I find for them say they all smell like sour candy. :sad2:

That CME looks suspiciously like a product I used to use from Wholesale Supplies called Multi Use Concentrate! And the recipe for using it is identical. I'm pretty jazzed as WSP no longer carries the Multi Use Concentrate and I miss it!

Really? That's interesting. I was reading some old info on SwiftCraftyMonkey & it appears it had previously been discontinued by another manufacturer but the demand was so great that Lotioncrafter started making it in-house.

  3. Hi there! I was wondering if anyone had found a dupe or good blend for London Calling? I have WSP's Iced Tea Twist but I think it smells like Lipton's instant tea rather than real tea with lemon. I loved the original version from B&BW.  <3

Even the natural people weren't doing well. Nobody was. Not sure if it was the weather, the fact the Broncos were playing, or a combo of both... But thanks!

Yeah, I don't think many other vendors were doing well either. I had a lot of customers ask about natural products though, even vendors who sold them themselves. There were lots of people at the show walking around, just not buying anything. I hope we all have better luck at our next shows!  :)

Im surprised they discontinued that one. Although Ive never used it before it seems like it was popular . I guess not or  they wouldn't have discontinued it.

Unless there were a lot of issues with the fragrance. Did you use it in soap or wax ?

I've only used it in wax so far. I had ordered a pound of just before they discontinued it, thankfully. I'm keeping it all to myself. I love it & don't want to share. They said on the web site it was discontinued due to low sales but I'm quite surprised by that honestly.

What's it smell like? Can you describe it? If I were going to make a scent with that name I would mix a strawberry or berry type with baby powder.

It doesn't smell like basic baby powder or an "old lady" powder at all. It's hard to describe, but it is powdery with maybe some Sandalwood?

This is from the the web site:

"This fragrance brings you back to mom's vanity. Trying on her make up, patting your neck with that giant powder puff and wishing you were old enough to wear her grown up perfume. This is a delicate aroma with subtle powder and wood notes."

I am not very familiar with that kind. Is it a light bulb? What is the wattage?

If it is a 15watt or 20 watt light bulb type warmer it might just not get warm enough for the wax/FO combo to throw well.

have you tried just adding a little of the FO to the warmer to see if it throws alone? Then add a little oil and see if it throws...

They're 24 watt hot plate warmers. What kind of oil? When I use FO in warmers I usually add a tiny bit of FCO to offset the burnt smell that tends to occur after a while.

  8. I melted one made with 4625/4630 & Peppermint Cream FO and one made with 464/Feather Palm with Cinnamon Yum FO.

*Well... I started melting the palm blend with the cinnamon about four hours ago & I'm smelling it now. It's light, but it's there.

  9. Okay, I've made three blends with three different fragrances: NG Cinnamon Yum Yums (I just call it Cinnamon Yum), WSP Peppermint Cream, & JS Blonde Moment with 4625/4630, 4625/6006 & 464/Feather Palm. I wanted a variety to make sure it wasn't an FO that was off. Two fragrances have cured for a week, the NG & WSP FOs. I've melted a Peppermint Cream 4625/4630 & a Cinnamon Yum 464/Feather Palm today. When I made them I used the max load allowed for each wax, I think so anyway. But, I can't smell either one. I really don't think I'm nose blind because I can smell the cinnamon one when I'm really up close to it & I can smell oil in my warmers. Should I allow for a longer cure or try more FO?

  10. It did both ways, when I added it to the FO & when I added it to the wax. It was quite a bit worse when I added it straight to the wax.

It was a 4625/4630 blend & a 4625/6006 blend (this was when I added straight to the wax). I did it with a 464/Palm blend & only noticed a tiny amount. Everything was added between 185-190.
