You could most certainly try, but I agree that there's no one best supplier of FO, but some great ones.  You'll find that even your favorite supplier, like Shari said, will have a few that don't throw well for your application.  Different scents can react differently with different waxes, or recipes for B & B.  The same scent type may be as different formulation, and work better for your purposes from a different supplier.  Limiting your choices to a few reputable companies is a great start, though. 

 

When I started I hoped I could do that too, one or two. I haven't held to that, lol.  But I try to make the shipping worth it for every order.  

 

This thread on Just Scent, is a good one.  I recently tried them and liked Plum Crazy, and buttery Gingerbread.  

 

For a company with good value, many great scents, and great service,  I'd recommend Fragrance Buddy to start with.  They have decent regular shipping, and free shipping for orders over 100.  

 

Ordering 1oz samples first is a really important investment, because it's hard to tell if you'll like something, and if it works for you, unless you try it.  Even with good recommendations, and reviews. Ordering the larger sizes even though they're usually more affordable per oz, can be a gamble that ends with you having a lot of fragrance you don't need, and cash down the drain.  Most companies offer smaller sample sizes.  SOS offers little vials that you can test OOB, 5 for 5, free shipping, Aztec ( I recommend only using PayPal with them) has a monthly 1oz 5 for 5 deal on their site too.  Those are  really affordable ways to try scents.  

Yes agree definitely use PayPal or prepaid with Aztec . You will find your bank account will be down thousands if you use a personal debit card .Happened to me 3 times ,no issue when using PayPal only ,or a prepaid card with the exact amount loaded on the card .

I do like & use many of their oils .

I have not tried many from Just scent ,however one i have liked alot is called Tiki Beach ,a BBW dupe .Great scent & spot on dupe .

I use paraffin wax .

Not much luck with a few others .

I will certainly be willing to test more from JS ,love the web site layout too . It makes oil shopping such fun .

I certainly agree PFO is now the owner of the original MW oils .

The oils are superior compared to most . I recommend PFO ,I plan to order more in the future .The strength is strong & can cut back on percentage if you prefer . Some of the best oils I have ever used .

I do liike & use many from FB also . However some scents compared are much stronger from PFO . I absolutely love Sea Witch ,Green Cactus,Southern Belle,Sugar cookie Royal, Mambo & more from PFO .

I just recently received Bourbon Butterscotch BBW dupe from Flaming . I ordered a sample first ,this one smells fantastic oob .

Excited to get this one tested in my wax . I could actually smell this one & Black cherry before I opened the package . Cabarnet grape & Roasted Chestnut is strong oob as well. New scents going into the wax asap .

My order has arrived 😀

I opened the Mahogany spice & so strong oob . It does have a woodsy outdoor aroma & so strong . I am excited to get this one into the wax ,along with a couple more I received . I purchased a lb of 

Black tea orange almond ,getting a heavy tea note oob ,hope it will blossom in the wax & pick up more of the other notes . It to is super strong . I ordered a lb of their classic coconut for blending ,seems very nice oob . I also purchased a half lb of Amber Romance for a friend ,love this one oob. 

I love the samples oob Coastal kale ,Granny apple Kale & Cool water . I also received sample  orange dreamsicle ,smells a bit light oob ,may change in the wax though .

I do use & love CW peppermint Cypress ,along with Frasier fir ,these are the two I was needing to get & reason for my order . 

I went ahead & added the others to qualify for the Free lb .I also bought a lb of Mango & Papaya,smells super strong oob ,live this one .I wanted the Snickerdoodle ,however near $40 a lb ,so passed this one by kwim.

Thank you Sarah for the referral of MS, think this one will be a winner for sure .Now to think of a name change ,will be a challenge .

I will just get the ones I have to have for now & wait until they offer a good discount to get the extra .

I use many from them & love most of the ones I have for now . I do love the New fo intro offer & 5 for 5 deal .I also like the low flat rate shipping they offer . Nice to know CW has same low price on wax for soy users .I figured you would not be disappointed now over Aztec , BF sale is not great this year at all.

Aztec is good to me but not the best. I won't order from there though because your card gets hacked from what I read. No oil is worth that happening. 

 

Shelly your absolutey correct about the hacking ,I was one of the the Aztec victims . I only pay thru PayPal or prepaid card now . I was hacked 3 times . I wised up & quit using my debit card online period for any purchase . As far as I know PayPal is very secure ,never had a problem using this method of payment kwim.

It's just 18 of the 1 oz for a dollar ,such a disappointment for me .

TCS  meaning The Candlemakers store ? Idk about this supplier doing a BF .

I know  I have received up to 30 off from Aztec on BF all fo the year 2016&2015 ,such a let down this year . Last year was top seller lb bottles for $11 . Well maybe next big sale will be much better . 

WSP has a BF Sale , usually a good one if you like some of their oils .

I will hope for New Year's for some sales as well .

Yes, BC did raise a bunch of prices, I didn't realize the Stonehenge was so expensive! Some times with a fragrance like that, I'll get a smaller bottle just for me and make that  baby laaaast.... Lol

 

I couldn't remember if ICS was one of your regulars or not.  Her oils are Sooo good! I want to try the Pudding Cake too, that one sounds yummy! I love her Caramel, I blend that with everything! I have a bottle of her Cinnamon Glazed Donuts sitting on my counter waiting to go in wax. Smells amazing OOB. @katmeltswax, you can't go wrong with any of the bakery scents from ICS, IMO. 😍

It's ok & yes it's Candlewic we were talking about . If you spend $75 during this promotion ,the code is entered & they subtract a certain amount from the total . It's really nice to get this deal . .I love so many CW scents .😀

I'm not sure which website you got that screenshot from. I've never seen an option to pick a fragrance sample like that.  At least it doesn't look like that at Candlewic's website on my laptop.

I had to order jars from The Candlemaker's Store so I got a free bottle of Cinnamon & Sugar with $100 order.  I do wish they had more free scents to pick from.  I also got a lb of their Spiced Pumpkin Latte at the special price of $9.99.  If it's the same one I smelled once when I was there, it's not bad.  Not as good as RE's Spiced Pumpkin Latte of course.  And that's all I got!  One of these days, I'm going to order their Bamboo Lime.  I smelled that there once too.  But not until I deplete some of the bottles I have now. I still have some of their Bamboo Rainforest and it's really good too.

 

 

I wanted to correct my earlier post in the Free lb CW . I just check out & it appears they take the discount off after the cart is loaded . They gave me the medium cost oil free . It was the Black tea orange almond  .The Frasier Fir was the highest cost oil of my selections ,love this one . I am guessing they have their own formula calculation on the Free lb offers . I am sure I will love the black tea scent .

I passed on Snickerdoodle bc the near $40 a lb is just more than i am willing to pay for a lb of oil kwim, can find a good one from another supplier . Snickerdoodle scents are very plentiful right lol.

I look forward to my order & hope I like the free samples as well .

It's ok bc it is a amazing scent & performance is great in my wax blend for melts .

Gail ,Your right they did have a anniversary sale back in the spring with 35 off . I checked my invoices & in 2016 the BF was 30 ,I purchased alot lol...

The announcement for this year will be next Monday according to their web site . I am sure hoping it will be a 30 off this go around .

FB was 25 off last year on BF .

I am out of many I use from them & trying to hold off kwim.

Fingers crossed for the 30 ALL oils bc I use so many from Aztec .😀

Last year, Aztec's Black Friday sale was their most popular FO's for $11.00 each.

You know Gail ,I do remember now about Aztecs last year. I was a bit disappointed bc I liked the 30 off better on All the oils . Hopefully they will offer the 30 off this year idk . I am busy loading a cart ATM.

I may be in for a disappointment right . We shall see what it is going to be for 2018 . I will look at my past invoices from FB as well ,maybe the 30 off is starting to fade away slowly ,darn it .

I agree with cswilson, I find I just have to trim the pointy spikes off bc if you do not bake the beads long enough ,we all know what happens . You will have beads falling out from the middle . I do not get alot of spikes & just trim the ones that need a trim....
