I always preferred McSoy's Strawberry Jam for my 100% soy wax. Great hot and cold throw, and all my "strawberry lover" customers said it was their favorite! I never even needed to cure the candle; could burn it with 24 hours w/o affecting the scent throw.

So cute!!! Can I hire you to make some Manolo Blahnik charms for me:D ?

JLDorrington,
Pretty please post pics of you all dressed up when you can! First, I actually have to ship the jewelry out to you. I will do that on Monday.

Livelovebath,
I dont have any brown beads or crystals. I do have a similar pink I just posted a pic of; PM me if you want them! Or, I have a multi-pack of crystals that should be arriving any day that might contain brown.

Yeah, I found a pic of a similar necklace, and it had longer bead dangles on it. So, I made mine about half the size, and I think they are still too long. Or, maybe I should have done two strands around the neck so it would look more balanced.

Jldorrington,
I just KNEW you would like that one. Im COMPLETELY out of black beads now. I actually had to take apart my fiancee's necklace I made him for Valentines to finish it. But, when I get back, Im going to try to find those beads again, so I can make you one!

Thanks! I need to get my bead stuff packed up for my trip tomorrow, but I just found a new design for another choker I want to try! Decisions, decisions!! "To pack, or not to pack!"

jldorrington,
Thank you so much for posting the pics! I might do a second necklace similar to one of yours, and another necklace using the wire wigjig.
Blazerina,
Good idea about adding an adjustable chain; it will work perfectly with one of the designs Im leaning towards doing!
Bubblebath,
I love that "crochet" look! Is there a pattern for it on the FMG website? Dont think I could attempt that w/o directions!

Wow guys, I cant thank you enough! GREAT ideas! I did start a design last night out of a wire work book, but Im not really liking it now that Ive gotten most of it put together. The design is called Angel Wings and its made almost completely out of wire. My problem Im having is trying to NOT buy any more beads, and use what I already have. Unfortunately, I dont have a big selection of black beads. I did have a teardrop-shaped aqua pendant that Im trying to use, because I have smaller aqua teardrops I can use along with the pendant. I though the aqua and silver wire would be a cool look. But, Its not turning out how I wanted.
jldorrington,
Would you mind posting the pics of the stuff you have? Thank you!
Another idea I had is: do you remember those flower Swarovski Crystal bookmarks I did a few weeks ago? I have a choker started with the white flower beads (not the pink ones), and using just black round beads. Im wondering if this might work? I can post a pic if you want.
Also, my sis in law is pretty skinny, and she reminded me the other day that she has a really small neck, so Im not even sure how many inches I should make this! Maybe 12"to 14"?

Hi!
Im going to CO next week to visit family, and Im wanting to make a choker necklace for my sis in law. She doesnt really have favorite colors; not a pink girl. She does like purple, green, and blue though. She is kind of a rocker-chick type. I want to something cool for her (she's 23 years old), but I lost my jewelry-making "mojo", and Im drawing a blank on a cool design for her. Maybe something with the wire designs Ive been posting pics of lately? Anybody have any ideas? Im open to anything/everything. I only this weekend to make it as Im leaving on Tuesday.
Thanks in advance,
Linaya

Fern Marie,
Ava is doing so much better lately; the eczema is completely gone. Thanks to some stuff that Sandissoap sent me. She actually isnt that big; 18 months old, and she is barely 20 pounds. She still wears size 6-9 months clothes, but she is getting taller. Which means that stuff is either too big around the waist, or too short in length!!!
Im wearing the necklace right now with a long-sleeve gray t shirt and jeans, and it looks really cute!

Hibiscus,
Ive messed around with wire-wrapping synthetic gemstone beads; turned out pretty good too! Ive done tons of chandelier earrings; my sis loves them! Those are really easy to make.
Thanks for the compliments, guys! Linaya

I absolutely LOVE that! My 18 month old would look adorable wearing that to Starbucks with mommy! Where did you find that charm? Ive kept a look out for Easter charms, and havent seen any yet.

I did use a wig jig for part of the butterflies; found that its easier to start with the wig jig, and then finish them by hand. I need more patterns for my wig jig!

Those are gorgeous! Are the charms made with Swarovski crystals?

Jenny, those are so cute! I love that memory wire too; have a ton of the necklace wire that I havent used yet! I like to add small charms at the ends of the wire to give it some more decoration.

HS, those are SO CUTE! I'd love to buy one from you, but Im afraid my fiancee would roll his eyes at me again:p !

Ok, I usually use Swarovski crystal beads, but I went to our local swap meet yesterday, and got 10 packs of Austrian crystals for a STEAL!!! Too bad it wasnt this guys regular price (I got them 50% off), or I'd go every weekend to stock up! I have used Austrian crystals for projects years ago, and I think they are just as nice-looking as the Swarovski. I also got this watch face off of Etsy for only $2!!! For all you jewelry-makers, look at Etsy for supplies. Not a huge assortment, but I got 3 watch faces (pink, lavendar, and green) for only a total of $16 ( that includes shipping!). Im not usually a fan of green, but my daughters birthstone is a Peridot, and this color caught my eye. I used a magnetic clasp that is perfect for bracelets!
Necklaces/Bracelets w/Prayer Boxes

I made a prayer box necklace about a month ago for a Christian friend of mine. Instead of writing on a piece of paper and trying to fit that into the box, i did something else. I sent along a small packet of beads in assorted colors (each color means something different) and then every morning, she is supposed to put whatever color of bead in the box that correlates with her mood or whatever.
Also, I got this particular prayer box at Walmart because I needed it fast!
