  1. Looks good. I don't see what's wrong with the pics you currently have. Love the wicks lighting, very cool!
  2. On the plus side....at least that means there won't be 20 chandlers trying to do one show. I suggest if you DO have other local chandlers to combine your orders to save everyone on shipping. I have been doing that with another lady for a few years now. She actually lives in another state, but we live about 1.5 hours from each other. we meet halfway and split our loot.
  3. Do you prefer silicone or is plastic okay? If you don't mind plastic check out Scott Crew, also Ginger at flexiblemolds.com has reasonable priced molds. Her's aren't silicone, they are something else....some yellow stuff, but I have lots of them and love them. Also, check out ebay, you can get some good deals on there sometimes too!
  4. Those turned out perfect! Great job!
  5. Looks awesome! and you are both beautiful! You look a lot alike....neither of my children look like me (lucky for them lol).
  6. Very nice!! Love the pink and purple ones best, but would love to receive any of them, and the scents sound great!
  7. Not to be discouraging, but if this is a one time project for you, you would probably be better off just buying them from one of the talented candlemakers on here. Like the others said, by the time you get all the neccessary supplies and get it tested in you could have bought them cheaper.....most people don't realize how expensive and time consuming making candles can be. They think it's easy to just stick a wick in some wax and viola! I ,however, want to make sure that my candle is SAFE before giving out to family and friends (as I am sure you do too)......anyway, whatever you decide, good luck!
  8. My vote goes for Ocean also! Very neat candle!
  9. I use a blend of 4630 and soy for my containers. I like 4630's throw but found it too soot-y, so added soy and now I feel I have found the perfect combo. I use that combo and 1246 for tarts and pillars. As for how to come up with the perfect combo for you, trial and error lol, just like everything in candlemaking!!
  10. Jackel has really nice tart burners at a reasonable price. Order early cuz the closer to winter, the slower they get. http://jackelus.com/
  11. I like the concept, but for me (could just be my computer) the pic is kinda hard to make out. If you could sharpen it a little and like others day make the text bigger or darker....
  12. Definite works of art! You are very talented, and you take great pics too lol.
  13. I love it! I think it's perfect, colors, fonts, graphic, everything works together!
  14. FYI: Wally World is also know as Wal-mart lol.
  15. I usually only take 5-6 scents to shows. It never fails that people will want to "try" something you don't have a tester in, so make sure you have testers for each product (not just scent). For example, have a tester in each scent for lotions, each scent for sprays, etc, etc....just my experience. I also know as a consumer, if I can't test it, I most likely won't buy it.
  16. You should weigh your finished product (minus the weight of the jar). THAT is your net weight and what should go on your label.
