  1. I am making some for a craft show but have been curious as to what temparature everyone else pours them at. I am using EcoSoya from Peaks and assorted fragrances from various suppliers. Should I be pouring at the recommended temp for the wax or the container. I would assume that it would take more than 150 degrees to melt the clamshells. Please PM me or answer here if you have a solution or any suggestions. TIA Chauna
  2. What exactly do u mean by "unique"? What are u looking for?
  3. I am looking for new scents and would like to try it. PM me
  4. What about injecting them? I don't think they will leak unless u put to much in. I would try with as little as possible. Maybe 1/2 oz or less.
  5. I would think if u used both orange and brown that would work. Don't know how much u would use just test until u get the color u want.
  6. Kaybee, All I can say is this Chauna I need different suppliers that cater to Soy. I have tried some that do not work well in soy. Such as Burgundy. I must have made it 3 or 4 times and it still did not come out burgundy. I know Peaks has good dye but they are so far away for me and the shipping would be outrageous. Any suppliers on the east side of the country? TIA
  7. Who has some good ones that u can get a true color out of it? I have been using some from The Candle Source but they only have a limited selection. Looking for more colors. Hope someone can offer some help. TIA Chauna
  8. If have access to the First & Main they were also out of the white ones the last time I looked. Must be a popular bear for them.
  9. I get the ones that are 1.99 and have also gotten some of the other ones that cost a little more but seem worth it to me because I cannot afford to buy a huge quantity. They have the fur that is "fluffy" I'm not really sure how to describe them. If you have a Michael's that u can check out u will understand what I mean. Hope this helps. Chauna
  10. I get mine at Michael's Craft Store. U can find some at Wally World too but they are more expensive. A lot of people get them from First & Main or one of the Candle Supply Places. I know that Bittercreek North has them. And Farmhouse. There are several more but I can't remember who they are. Maybe Peak's is one too. Hope this helps. Chauna
  11. Sue Ann, Try this place http://www.harryepstein.com/castironcookware-p.htm
  12. I will be using Kraft Labels for my candles. I also use the brown kraft for my hangtags.
  13. I like the Baby Magic better. I made some candles with Baby Powder and it made me sick. I have severe allergies the talc made me start sneezing and over all sick. Just keep that in mind because some people do have allergies and can't be around Baby Powder.
  14. I am looking for a good FO in this scent. Anyone know where I can get it? Have been searching and can't find any exact with both maple and brown sugar. TIA

They are Almost Heaven Candle Supply www.candleandsoapstuff.com/ and Tristate Candle Supply www.tristatecandlesupply.com If the links don't work do a search for them. Hope I helped u some. Chauna

  17. I don't think so her hubby wants a green candle and just happens to want vanilla in it.
  18. Thanks for your help I figured it out though. The person wants a green candle that is scented with Vanilla because it is supposed to bring good fortune when u burn it in your home. Especially the stove, not on the burner but let it sit there lit. Kind of interesting.
  19. Anyone ever heard of this scent and know where I can get it if so? I have a request for this scent. I personally have never heard of it. TIA
  20. Thanks for the suggestions off to the dollar tree too look. I looked up the tins too. May do both.
  21. Dip Bears- What do you put the bear on when selling them or giving as a gift so that a person could say put them on a table and not have to worry about them ruining the wood? I was thinking plastic doily's but they have holes in them so that won't work. Can someone give me some suggestions as to what to use to put them on so they don't ruin something? I would like to find some pie tins that people used to use for making pies that have the scallop or fancy edging but have no idea where to find them. I don't think they have them in stores any more. I want to keep a uniform look for all my bears so they all have the same look when package even if they aren't the same type of bears. I did one bear and love it. But I need to find something to put it on before I package it so whoever receives it can take it out and sit it on something without worries. TIA to anyone who can offer some help.
  22. Glad to help. I know they are a little different from the ones you were getting. I used to buy them too, was so mad when they stopped selling them but that is Wally World for you. I actually like the flat top looks neat. Hope you do too. Good luck with your jars.
