  1. She is in the process of trying to deal with AMEX. They are telling her that she has waited too long to claim against this. I hope she doesnt give up tho Cara
  2. A fellow Canadian pal of mine sent me the email below today about her dealings with Gelluminations Inc, I hope this doesnt break any forum rules, I Just hope this doesnt happen to anyone else! Here is her email to me in quotes "I wanted to pass on this file number to you. I ordered 6 boxes of wax from this company with the promise of cheaper shipping thru USPS, they DID NOT send the wax nor will they refund my money. They claimed I falsely put in a zip code to get cheap postage when it was them who told me to do so just to get the order thru, they said that shipping wouldn't be much more to Canada thru the PO. That they would send the adjusted shipping invoice. I never received an invoice or a phone call with the amounts. Anyway 500 USD later I still have no wax, or money. I waited too long to make the claim thru AMEX. They kept putting me off saying they were looking for the postage, then they said they resent it etc etc. Warn anyone on this side of the border to avoid this company at all costs. The BBB tried to resolve it, but they kept making excuses that they were looking for the postage receipts. That's since last December!!! Some filing system eh?" SHe filed with the BBB and their reply was the following: "Business Name: Gelluminations Inc We have received your most recent correspondence in the above-mentioned complaint case. You have indicated that you are NOT satisfied with the business' response in the matter. The business has not made any further concessions to their original response. Unfortunately, the BBB can not pursue the matter further. This complaint case is now considered closed UNRESOLVED. The Better Business Bureau develops and maintains Reliability Reports on companies in our service area. This information is available to the public and is frequently used by potential customers. The company's level of cooperation in resolving to this complaint becomes a part of their file with the Better Business Bureau."

  5. Ok, i think i watch tooooooooooo many kids shows, now my soaps have that Treehouse tv sounding theme to them! A blend of patchouli, vanilla with a hint of mint..peppermint that is!
  6. Thanks girls! What do u mean "summerish" isnt a word? U mean it really isnt? LOL Ive always been drawn to the yellow/blue/green color combinatiion for one reason or another. Just seems to scream cheerful!
  7. Cant really call the square one a chunk as I used the leftover from the rounds from the swirl. Scented with a mix of Seaside and A floral mix for a nice clean scent. Not perfection mind you, but this was my first attempt at both methods. There are a few air holes in the swirl and some frosting. I know i should have heated the swirls more, but for a first attempt, I am pleased. Still not levelled or wicked Cara
  8. WOw that is really pretty. I am a tad confuzzled tho. DId u use the wax that was mentioned in the tutorial? Wont that melt with use of a tealite in it? Sorry to sound dense.... Cara
  9. Excellent News! I can smell my cc melting already...LOL
  10. I use Candles and Supplies version as well. Cant comment on soy but it works wonderfully in paraffin, b&b and CP soaps HTH Cara

  16. I am attempting to place an order and want to add on a few just to fill up the box. What can you simply not live without? Cara
  17. I just use the food colors, mix the color with the salts and put them in the oven on low low low for an hour or so stir them every so often and they are clumpless. I too liked the ease of the powders but the cost was too much. Very nice looking salts btw! Cara
  18. WOW I love these. But then again i love anything to do with coffee and the color brown! Great job!
  19. I take it you are not a mottle man? WIll keep you posted! Cara
  20. Thanks to the advice of Top of Murray Hill and Donita I attempted my second pillar using this wax. Used .5 oz pp, 1.5 T of Steric and poured at 180. I really like the look of how this one turned out. Scented with Rain
  21. I have a customer that cant use shea on her lips at all. She experiences the same problems as you have described. SHe is ok with it in lotions or soaps, just a big no no on the lips. Do you use shea?
  22. Love the look of the candle! Too bad i cant order the wax....I live in Canada and they will only ship UPS, which means brokerage and a 2 hour drive for me to pick up.....sniff Can i live vicariously though u? Cara
  23. First attempt with the 1274. Not sure if i did it right but, it smells good, doesnt look too bad, For some reason or another the top of this candle in this picture looks like a huge crater, Its really not. Just a concave pillar mold. I find that some of the fragrance oil is beading up on the outside of the candle. Is this normal? Its scented Spiked Raspberry and its really not crooked...Just the person taking the picture is a little off center:D
