Ah shucks all....I just took a old cake pan (square one) filled the pan with rice and angled the votive molds so the lip touched the sides and did my black pour. When the wax was ready for the second pour, i took the votives out of the rice pan and put them on the counter and poured the white....easy peasy...lol Thanks for the wonderful feedback! Cara

Something I made to go with a bridal shower basket. Black is scented with Leather, the white is some sorta angel wings scent...I think...lol Considering these are my 6th batch of votives, I was rather impressed with my self. Cara

THanks for the wonderful comments....I havent burned one yet, think i may start one up later today and see how it goes. I had a few little visitors here yesterday playing with DD and i was worried about little fingers. The jury is still out on the mottling...not sure if i really like the look. This is what happens when you buy that mottling wax right? Thanks again for the confidance boost! Cara

Well, here they are...first attempt with my free wax and some stearic. Blue is scented with BB Energy, Yellow is GEmlites Pineapple and the two Toned is Cucumber Melon. Not sure why i got the white flecks in the blue one, but they look cool Thanks for lookin Cara

I am guessing, but i think there is about 20 lbs of wax there, give or take. I do have some stearic here, Maybe tomorrow i will attempt a few votives and see how it does. I know i should heat this up to about 175, add fo and color, but what temp do i pour it? Also, can anyone recommend a good cdn supplier of goods? Thanks again Cara

Thanks for the welcome! The wax is just normal old grocery store parafin, the kind that people used to use to put on top of jams....Blue box, white writing....Nothing fancy. Box says 100% pure parafin. Thanks for the help! Cara

Hi there...I am a noobie to all this candle stuff! I make b&b products and soaps and such but am green when it comes to wax pleasures...lol. I am a sahm to Baylee who is a VERY busy three year old, we own a farm that we purchased in July where I raise ponies and cows and chickens when spring comes. When i moved into this house I aquired a HUGE ASS box of parrafin wax and I am thinking i could whip up some votives for christmas gifts for the family and me... Question is, should I be adding some additives to this and if so what and why.... Cara
