  1. My next batch of hemp soap is cut. It is Oatmeal milk and honey (soymilk) I am soooo happy..........I have been looking everywhere for a soap stamp, and they are so expensive to ship. I just wanted something simple. I was at the local craft shop today and saw something that I thought would work perfectly. It was in the isle with unpainted wooden things....boxes, little wooden things to paint etc...and I found these flat wooden stars, hearts and other shapes....and then found these little woodhandle looking things.... I drilled a hole not to far down into the star, to fit the handle and glued it with hot glue. Voila............ A soap stamp for under $3.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but it is 2 oz bottles with either a flip cap or spray cap. 10 bottles with lids for $6.50. I do not know the shipping. You can ask what shipping is. She has lots of other things, ask if she has the 1oz. she just might!!!!! This is my local supplier, and she is very courteous and so willing to help. This is an ebay auction. http://cgi.ebay.ca/2-OZ-Clear-Plastic-Bottles-Lot-Lotion-Spray-Cream_W0QQitemZ8248667327QQcategoryZ41368QQcmdZViewItem
  3. Ooops I Meant To Pm This Message To The First Poster...............
  4. I Understand this is an old posting but I was wondering if you still had that recipe for the shampoo bar with hemp oil in it....??? Thanks!!
  5. Thanks to everyone for your wonderful compliments. Today I made the same recipe minus the hemp seed nuts and I added whole milk powder and ground oatmeal throughout and topped with oatmeal. I would like to try a shaving bar with hemp seed now, oh and the shampoo bar I was talking about.............In good time.........
  6. OH YOU'RE SUCH A BIG SHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL You are amazing, girl!
  7. Great ideas guys! Thanks alot........ I just have one question...........Can someone explain confetti soap to me? Thanks!
  8. Yes it is............if it says sweet almond oil.............It's all the same thing
  9. They look beautiful! Do you ever have problems with your soap coming out of the molds? I used a mold once, and it stuck, and I never tried again!!!!! They are beautiful molds as well.....
  10. I have pounds of end pieces of soap. They are already scented in their own soap scents, I've heard of milling soap but it always says to used unscented pieces. What do you do with your left over pieces of soap? It's all cold processed soap.........
  11. So since my hemp seed oil soap turned out like a million bucks, I want to make a hemp shampoo bar. These are the ingredients I have to chose from: Jojoba Hemp seed oil (I want to use as much as I can get away with!) Olive oil Castor Oil Cocoa butter Soybean Oil Grapeseed Oil Sweet Almond Oil Shea butter Coconut Oil Palm Oil Any suggestions? And in what percentages would you say works for you? The last shampoo bar I made, makes my hair feel greasy, and I don't want that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks guys!
  12. I would mistake that for fudge, if it was left out on the counter! MMMMMMMMMMM Nice swirl effect!
  13. This soap is unscented AND uncolored! The hemp seed oil gives the colour. I'm not sure of the lather yet, I just cut it this morning!
  14. The hemp soap is cut..........which I named: Hemp oil with hemp seed nuts - Unscented I think people have a misconception about hemp oil, time after time I was told not to use 20%, the soap would be too soft! :undecided IT IS A PERFECT BATCH OF SOAP. I'M SURE I COULD HAVE USED MORE! I'm so exited! My next mission: to make hemp shampoo bars
  15. ALRIGHT, I couldn't find any recipes......... Anyone with a recipe could you PM me, or post it? Thanks so much!
  16. Oh I would love to make that. I will look for that recipe. Thankyou!
  17. Just a question What are you using aloe vera juice for? I saw it at a grocery store today, and was curious about it........
  18. What is ROE. I've heard someone say that before. I was on a website for hemp oil, and it said that it DOES NOT go rancid quick. But I've heard otherwise........hmmmm
  19. I'm sure this qustion has been asked a million times, but I've never ventured over to the candle making discussions. I bought 100% natural beeswax for soapmaking and thought about making some bees wax tea lights with it also. I understand it heats up way more than other waxes. What kind of tea light container should I use? I've seen the clear ones in stores, but what are they called exactly? Should I use a certain type of wick? Thankyou!
  20. I would probably just consider it soybean oil, with 90% soybean oil. Most recipes I make are with soybean oil. This is the basic recipe I use most. You can just add different FO's and EO's when you make it to make a different scented soap: Hard Oils: Cocoa butter = 5% Coconut Oil = 20% Palm Oil = 25% Soft Oils: Olive Oil = 30% Soybean Oil = 15% Grapeseed Oil or sweet almond oil = 5% At trace: Add Cocoa butter
  21. I am going to leave it a few days before I cut it......... Once I was pouring, it really wasn't much hemp seed oil used! 20% of a small batch wasn't much........It's the large amount of olive oil I used I'd be mad I wasted! That's how I saw it, experimental.........we'll see............I emailed a few companies that sold hemp bars, most of them said they used 20-30%, so that's why I wanted to test it out. I ate some of the hemp seed nuts, as it's use really is for salads etc. It is so good, tastes nutty, yes, like sunflower seeds kind of just not hard. Yes it smells a little nutty too.........We'll see once it's cut...... I don't think many soapers on these message boards use hemp seed oil. I think that's why I didn't get a great response for help to finding a recipe. I hope to start something good here!
  22. Nice to know you used an EO. They are very nice!
  23. I posted a few times, including today in general discussion on ideas and suggestions on making hemp soap. I really didn't get much help besides one or two people on what I should do. So with a few bits of information, I thought to just 'wing it'. I was told over and over not to use more than 5-10% hempseed oil, but I'm stubborn and wanted lots! We'll see. I'll post in a few days when it is cut. I can't believe how green it is (I was hoping for that!) and there is no added colorants, additives etc. This is my recipe: HEMP OIL SOAP with hemp seed nuts (shelled hemp seeds) Olive Oil = 60% Hemp seed oil = 20% Coconut oil= 15% Palm oil = 5%
  24. I got hemp seed oil and hemp seed nuts (shelled - quite yummy actually!) from the health food store. WOW What an expense. Remember this is Canadian prices: $26.99 for 946ml hemp seed oil (WOW! EXPENSIVE OIL!) $2.79 56 g hemp seed nuts (good price) - to put in the soap too for fun. I have been wanting to make hemp seed oil soap for a while now! I posted here about finding a recipe but didn't really get a great response. I really want to make a 32 oz batch, and as natural as can be for problem skin. I want to make it more like a castile type of soap.........with olive oil, hemp seed oil, and castor oil, but I think it won't be hard enough........ I have made castile with just 90% olive and 10% castor, and it is always hard..........Any suggestions? I'll make it with coconut if I have to but I want to use as much hemp as possible and want it as green as possible......... AS WELL: Should I leave some of the hemp seed oil out until saponification? PLLLEEAASSEEE help me with a recipe or suggest something. I'm itching to make this. Tonight I hope! Maybe tomorrow.........
  25. I think it's a nice soap, it just needs to be cut nicely around the edges. Did you see my pictures? Have you considered a wavy cutter? The soap would look just fine cut with one of those!
