I thought I read here that salt will rust out your melter? Perhaps if it is mixed with wax this may not occur.
People are used to purchasing wax melts and perhaps don't know they can use salt alone with the addition of FO in their melters.
I would advertise it as a new type of melt, call it something special and different.
Off the top of my head: "A Super Melt" (Lame I know, but you KWIM).
That's all if it proves itself to actually last longer...

I would love to see this recipe too Chris, thanks....

If anyone out there knows how to do a cream soap tutorial I would love to see that too. Also, if anyone has any other ideas for a soap recipe or tutorial please post them here. That way if someone knows how to do it they could (should) sign up for it! Its actually fun to do a tut and its not that hard. I wish more would sign up to do one!
Here's a few ideas off the top of my hear for a soap recipe or soap tutorial:
- how to make cream soap
- rainbow colored M&P
- facial soap for acne or problem skin
- tooth soap
- shampoo soap
- soap swirling technique
- using natural colorants in soap
- using icing piping to make cake soap
- ideas for children's soap
- soap on a rope
- stress relief bars
- hand milled soaps
- using herbs in soap
- mother of pearl M&P
Lots of good suggestions here - esp like the soap swirling tech's, natural colorants, herbs in soaps, M&P ideas and the icing piping.

I think the clear looks nice with the slice of soap. The colored confetti in your fourth picture looks like the owl is sitting in a nest which I like--the confetti is around the soap not semi covering it as in the fifth picture...

I often want to browse and sometimes make purchases while I am sitting at a market thinking about supplies I need and want to buy.... but don't until I get back home to my PC.
I agree. Like to browse on my phone but I use my PC as well to purchase....the eyes ain't what they used to be, lol...hit 45 and gradually down they went.... So hard for a person who had 20/20 vision their whole life

With Peak's sale I too went to order 4786 and did not see it listed. When I contacted them I was told they are not carrying it anymore since it was not a big seller for them. I will now order this wax from C&S. Candlewic carries palm wax for containers and pillars and feathering as well.

At what point do you lick the soap (chuckling...)
Do you tongue-test every batch?

I've thought about making fire starters out of pine cones every year for the last couple of years and then I forget! I'll defiantly have to do that.
Some that I can think of off the top of my head are Santa Baby (JS), Country Christmas-NG, Balsam & Cedar NG, Cream Brûlée- Cajun, Cool Water-any supplier, Mango Tangerine NG, Monkey Farts-any supplier, Fruit Loops. I'd have to go look and sniff. That's about all I can remember right now but I know there's more
I am looking at the NG Balsam and Cedar that you mention did not sell. What is your opinion of the scent? Is it strong in melts? Why do you think it didn't sell Belinda because I was thinking about order some....thanks

You didn't say what type of product you want to use this oil for. I was just browsing Candle Soylutions website and they have a YC Balsam & Cedar type fragrance oil. I've had really good luck with their oils in my candles.
I want to use it in candles. Thanks for the suggestion, however, they are on the west coast and I a am east coast (shipping costs).

No I haven't....I Googled dupes of YC B/C and saw that LS and NG have "similar" oils - hoping someone has tried them and can offer their opinion....

Big hello to you too and welcome!

I just received a scratch and sniff of YC's Balsam and Cedar and I love it!
Does anyone know if LS and/or NG's Balsam and Cedar compares to YC's?
