can you tell me....how you do this...do you just wash it out and pour right into it then cut the pringles can away and toss it? Or do I spray the inside? Any help would be great! Thanks

Im trying to figure out a good way to package soaps..I didnt get started making my soaps yet...because we have had a Blizzard and UPS has delayed my packages til Monday.... So mean while I am trying to get ahead of things and design the package.. I plan on giving soaps for Christmas...and get "family feedback" lol Anyway....I was wondering if the bars have to be wrapped? or can they just be out in the open air? will the scent fade? I really like the look of the cigar bands and wonder if there is a template some where to print your own? Any help would be great.

Im having a heck of a time getting this wicked right.... I have tried a single wick and I stoped at a 61z and still had a LOT of hang up..Its it Ok...to use a bigger Zinc then a 61z...I have nevr used zincs.. So then I went to double wicking and I used 2 12 LX..and I felt the flames danced around too much....Then I double wicked with 2 HTP73...and I get a good melt pool...but half way down the flames are very smell like they are drowning.... Any suggestions??

How do i figure how big of a batch of soap to make when using a mini loaf pan for the mold. And would i figure it the same for MP and CP & HP?? Thanks so much in advance!

Thank you for the input I just got home from the store...and I found.. canned goats milk canola oil lard coconut oil safflower oil shea butter mineral oil I have mango butter and castor coming from a coop I wasnt real sure whick olive oil to get. Any suggestions? and is ther ea big difference between coconut oil and coconut butter.??

I was wondering if there is a recipe for lip gloss....Im guessing something like mixing a oil (but I dont know which one) and a flavor oil and putting it in a little roller bottle or a wand bottle..I have 2 teenage daughters and they woud LOVE if I made this (and so would my pocket) LOL

Sorry after i posted this i realized i posted in the wrong section..I just have soap on the brain...LOL I am in the process of getting all my supplies gathered together...at the moment I am at Kangaroo Blue thinking about placing an order....Are there any HUST HAVES for soap making.....that anyone would suggest? I did see the sticky at the top of the page for Lye suppliers..but there is only one supplier listed... Is there any others?? I would like to find one that I will get my supplies from ...sorry inside joke.lol I AM SOOOO ready to make me some soap! I just cant stand waiting to get my stuff!

I ordered a kit and some lye from them over the weekend...so 5 days ago....never recieved a confirmation email of my order..on their site there is no phone number on their site to call...I have sent 3 emails...do I just need to be more patient? not real sure what to do.here is the link....http://www.crabapplesoap.com/kits.html What do you guys think?

Cindy so you make the wick tabs touch? and thats far enough apart? That sounds like an easier way to do it then I did...LOL Thanks for the tip. I will try it next:yay:

I have only tried Peaks Sugar cookie and I love it!! Wicks the same for me I use Comfort Blend 4627

Thanks for the advice. I just wicked it and i placed them about an inch and 1/4 apart, and about an inch or so from the sides..lol if that makes sense

I am using peaks container blend...a 16oz apothecary jar, and I think I am going to try 2 44z wicks..but I dont know wher eexactly to place them..like how far apart? Can anyone suggest something? thank so much!
