  1. Thank you Robin! If I didn't already have a mommy named Robin, I'd adopt ya! Sara
  2. Yet another stupid question... Is there a way in Mals to set it up so that the customers order and all the credit card information gets sent directly to you. I'm looking into a new credit card processor, and was wondering if there was a way to get the orders sent to me, then I'd run the credit card myself? Thanks, Sara
  3. Hey Jeana, I have checked out a few others and the transaction fees have been pretty much the same, but the monthly fees for others have been more, (not much, only $5-$10, but that does add up). Sara
  4. CreditCardProcessor.com for their credit card orders? I got a quote from them this morning and it didn't seem bad, (2.45% plus .25 per transaction, $10/month gateway fee and $5/month statement fee--she removed the monthly minimum for me). Just wondering if anyone had any experience with them? TIA, Sara
  5. Those are really cute, but how do you paint them?
  6. Hey all, After posting this question last night, I did a google search to check out some other candle sites that do it. Some of them have different options, (votives, jar, ect) and all charge shipping. Can remember one that charges 13 and change for the candle and $5 shipping (for each candle). She did something that I hadn't thought of; instead of getting all the money up front, she charges the cc for that months candle and shipping on the first day of each month. Doing it that way may be easier for some people who don't have the money up front. I may consider doing it that way as I think it may slide right by some people about how much they are actually spending on shipping ~ since it's an every month thing. What do ya'll think?
  7. Do any of you do a scent of the month thing? Like doing a six month or year thing where the order it, and you ship out the cooresponding (sp) candle each month? We've been thinking about doing it, but the thing thats stopping us is the cost of shipping, and whether the customers would want to pay the outrageous amount. Any suggestions from the pro's? Thanks so much for all you help, and sorry about the way the questions worded; I'm just really tired! Hugs, Sara
  8. Hey Jennifer, I tried that, all she told me was what was on the website. Not overly helpful. Thanks, Sara
  9. Good afternoon, I was wondering if any one knew the diameter and height of the 2 oz clear bullet bottles? TIA, Sara
  10. Just to let ya'll know, I started the candy and fudge before I did the candles, but when we moved to Vermont, I listes all that I did on all of the applications, and the town had to send someone out to inspect the kitchen, make sure we had a smoke alarm on both floors, ect. It was a pain waiting for them to get around to coming, but once they showed up, they were quick and told me everything was fine.
  11. I like to add candy to mine, but then again, I don't have to buy it cause it's something that I make and sell as well. If any of ya are interested in the fudge or candies, let me know. I'm going away for the weekend, but have a solid christmas tree candy that I just made and will get on the site next week. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, Sara
  12. Good Morning all! I'm hoping some of you creative people can pitch in here...I'm doing a Project Graduation Craft Fair here on November 12th, and would love to do a "Class of 2006" line with their school colors, (Maroon and White), but can't seem to come up with anything fun and eye catching. Any ideas? I do pillars, votives, jars, tins and wickless. TIA for any help, Sara
  13. Just wanted to jump in and say that I had a customer call me last night to see if we'd be at the farmers market today so that he could get a wickless candle and warmer. Up until today, we'd only sold 1, today we sold 3 warmers with candles. Shocked the p*** out of me. Edited to add that we use the half pint wide mouth mason jars.
  14. Anyone know the fee to have them come out and pick up with the occasional account? TIA, Sleep well!
  15. Hey Vicky, No problem, we went a different way and just broke it up into 2 sections, (anything under $16.00=$3.85, $16.01-$50=$7.70, over $50.00 free). And I had troubel with that, but found a lifesaver on the Mals forum so I'm well on my way, have done 137 buttons and have about 15 left to go. Thanks again for you help yesterday, that site you gave me helped a ton! Hugs, Sara
  16. Vicky ~ you're a lifesaver! I've spent the last ummm...4 hours going through and reading info off that site! Thanks bunches. I think we have "most" of it figured out, but I can't seem to get the html code right for doing the shipping by weight. We have it broken down into 1 lb, 2lbs, 3lbs, 6 lbs, and then everything else, but when I try to figure out how to insert the code to say how much a votive weighs, I can't seem to do it. Any suggestions?? I am NOT html literate, so this has been one heck of a learning experience, but so far, I've only pulled out about half my hair--saving the rest for tomorrow. Thanks to those of you that have helped, you've been great! TIA to those who are willing to help with this new question. Sara
  17. Sorry ya'll ~ I am just chock full of stupid today...Using Mal's, which button generator do you use to create a drop down box, for scent choices and whatnot? Thanks again, I'll try not to ask anymore questions! Sara
  18. Thanks Ash and Suds! I just signed up for it, and am now making my head spin looking at the shipping options:shocked2:. Hugs, Sara
  19. Time for the stupid question of the day... Does anyone use "Mals", (come on, I know you do!). I'm wondering, since it's just the shopping cart, can you integrate it into paypal to accept payments? If so, how complicated is the whole setup situation? And can it accept coupon codes and such for sales? Right now, we're just using paypay, but I'm hoping to find something that will enable us to do sales and specials without having to have the customers call or e-mail thier order to us. Boy, I hope that makes sense, I'm typing on a cold medicine high, (which means my thinking isn't so great either!). Thanks for all the help, and for putting up with me, Sara
  20. I found that happening to my SIL's wedding candles, (scented Love Spell-colored Blue). We fixed it easily by zapping the tops with the heat gun..worked like a charm. HTH, Sara
  21. Hey all, Hoping you can help us out here! We're looking for a candy corn candle mold, not the little ones for the tarts, but about 3 1/2-4 inches tall... Any suggestions as to where we can find one? (also a christmas tree?) TIA, ya'll are great! Sara
  22. Want to jump in here and let ya'll know that I get mine from Best Containers. Their prices are decent and their shipping is fast. HTH
  23. Hey Nayla, Just wanted to drop you a little note to say "GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR OPENING!!" I've seen the pictures and I'm sure you're going to do fine, now go get some rest! Sara Dam*, Dam*, Dam*..posted this letter, then realized that TODAY is the 12th! Sorry about that~I'll change my wish to say that I hope things *went* well!
  24. Hey all, Hoping someone would chime in on this subject... Doing the favors for my SIL's wedding on the 24th of Sept, and had the idea to do votives (in her wedding color), but was wondering about doing the water decal's on them with their names and the date?? If anyone has any ideas on that subject, or any other ideas as to how to put their information, it would be wonderful! Thanks to all, Sara
  25. Have my usual Farmers Market on Friday, then dash back home to finish last minute things for a Festival on Saturday. It's the first *big* thing I've done and I'm really excited, but scared out of my mind about it! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
