  1. No problem, I completely understand! Just want to tell you it's wonderful! (and your cats are purrty too! I have 7...lol)
  2. thanks all! I wound up not using the picture (wouldn't fit where I needed it to go..lol), but bought the ModPodge anyway. Wound up painting their names and wedding date. Katshe: would you mind pm'ing me with how you did that and what you used? It's wonderful!! G'Nite all, Sara
  3. I love the colors! Did see what others were saying about body parts..but the colors got me. The last picture (not black-lit) reminded me of the top of a soft serve ice cream cone...i think that's just me though & in my defense, I'm blonde...
  4. not sure if you're still looking for people, but I'd love to try it! Thanks!
  5. just opened a book I got 6 years ago and it had a bunch of cool ideas...some of which included decoupage-ing. I have no idea where to start, but in my Google adventure, came across something saying that for the backside of the picture, you can use a mix of white glue and water, then use the decoupage medium on the front. Has anyone done this before, or have any other ideas? Totally confuzzled, but want to try some different crafts! Thanks! Sara
  6. really pretty! you're making me get the urge to make one for my son...cut that out! Great Job!
  7. I just wanted to say that I'm so glad you asked about this...I have a soon to be 2 year old who I want to start crafts with (coloring is getting a little dull...lol). Will be sure to check out the links for some cool stuff to do with him!
  8. Can't help with this situation, but just noticed that you're in Haddam ~ my sister in law lives there with her family. We visited a couple years ago and it's really pretty!
  9. thats what I'm hoping, maybe I'll try this weekend. I'm too tired now to try anything, DH's been out of town for 2 weeks (comes home tomorrow), so I've been on constant baby-duty!
  10. Awesome Texas, thanks! I love the totes that you make, but honestly, my DH would kill me if I bought one (especially after he just bought me a bunch of shrubs for the house). , Sara
  11. After looking and drooling over the bags that TexasBrat makes, I need to find the directions to make one (really tired of my son's diaper bag). I just picked up some free Waverly fabric (not all that pretty, but will work for practicing). Any helpful hints out there?? Thanks! Sara (darn creativity...my BFF wants me to make her a quilt for her B-day in August, and with the rest of my free fabric I think I'll make placemats, unless I can come up with another idea...)
  12. I don't think it will be a problem at all, cause the green is an accent. It's not predominantly green, which might have put her off a bit, but it's very spring-timey and quite lovely!
  13. I'm with Anita here, need to find a pattern and learn how to make these! (quite frankly, after a year, I'm tired of using a diaper bag that doubles as a purse...as much as I like Winnie the Pooh...lol) Great job, they are gorgeous!
  14. Thank you all very much! The few occasions that I post something in this here craft section, I always feel a little silly doing it, cause my things aren't nearly as intricate as some of the others I've seen (I especially love the bags!!), but I greatly appreciate all the nice feedback. Now that I have a little more confidence, I'll post some pics of the other quilts I've made as gifts. Thanks again ~ and have a great night all!
  15. Thanks! I wasn't sure about the colors, but figured if her room was orange with yellow accents, I couldn't go wrong...lol And she loved it, so that made me feel good.
  16. Was supposed to make it for her b-day last year, but I was VERY pregnant and couldn't get to the sewing machine...lol She's about to be 5 and her room is orange (but if she changes it, the quilt can transition too). That's her in the picture hiding in the quilt and her mom in one of the pics helping to hold it up. It's for a twin sized bed, about 72x90. Made it in about 4 days. (sorry about the fuzzy pic, she was pulling on me...)
  17. Oh what a cute puppy! and the collars cute too!
  18. I know this post is old, but I've been going through the old ones trying to decide what to work on next, and have to tell you that I ADORE this purse! OMG, I really do love it! I've been going through looking at the others that you've done and they are all really cool, but this is hands down my favorite of the bunch! Just wanted to let you know...
  19. Grumpy ~ I have to jump into this conversation really quick to tell you that I adore you! Had such a bad day and was catching up on my reading here and you made me laugh so loud Sorry folks...carry on with your discussion....:tiptoe: btw: it's great what you all do for charities!
  20. LovelyLathers: That is gorgeous! I've made a few, but haven't done anything that intricate yet, just regular squares....(thinking about digging out fabric....shoot, gotta make my grandmas scrapbook for x-mas first...)
  21. OMG! I love that (and my mom and sister would too!) I'm sure your daughter will wear it proudly. Great work!!
  22. Just wanted to pipe in with the fact that our grocery store and the drug store have boxes out back. When we were re-doing the kitchen and in need of boxes, that's where I went. It was a surprise though, cause in NJ they didn't have them out. Maybe it depends on where you live? Just a thought...
  23. Thanks! ~ We're due the end of April. She must be sooo excited ~ it's coming up quick!
  24. I like the one with the bear as well. When is she due? And please pass along my congrats from one expectant to another!
