How do you store your excess wax?

Recommended Posts

For me... if it's pillar wax I immediately pour excess wax in to tart molds. If it's container I pour it in to a pie pan lined with aluminum foil, let .it cool and peel from foil. Then I put that in a ziploc bag. On the bag I write the wax type, FO and from what company, amount of dye if any, pouring temp, additives f any, and put it in a storage tub. I am a very organized and clean chandler....

I normally measure pretty well for what I am pouring. I do have many many pour pots though, and will leave the wax in the pour pots. I do not like reheating wax that FO in it though. If it is unscented and just melted/dyed wax, I will leave it right in the pot.

Any little tid bits of left over wax (again, there usually is not much left over) I keep in a container and use for firestarters.

I'm with Faithful, I pretty much pour accurately, but sometimes I'll get some left over and I use it for either the firestarters or just melts for me ( OR I'll make grab bags of various scents )

When I'm doing my TPs is when I usually have some left over and I use it for melts most times ( for me )

I always have left over wax when I dip pine cones, and it goes for the firestarters.
