elitenaildesign
Just sick about this. I made a small batch of my old trust emulsified body butter for myself and at work for pedicures. Im guessing it was about2 months or so, opened up 2 of them and fuzzies are growing. I dont know id my scale was off or what. Always used tge same preservative as before. Just baffled. In the trash they went.
MaggieMay
Hi do you remember if the body butters were cooled before the lids were put on, sometimes if they ares till warm they can produce condensation and that can cause mold... Kitn
Could your preservative be out dated?
soapbuddy
I presumed you used brand new containers? I agree, preservatives do have an expiration date.
elitenaildesign
Wondering if I put lids on too soon. Just bought my preservative and jars were new. Im so glad I didnt give this to anyone, I would have been devastated.
soapbuddy
Lotion or cream needs to cool off completely before you put the lids on. If any condensation occurs on the lid there is no preservative in it. If any drops fall on the lotion, it will contaminate it.
Pam W
I've gotten mold only once & that's when I used some agave nectar.
