jade
On Aug. 9 I typed in a recipe at soapcalc & decided to try a "water as % of oil wt" of 33%. The results for 56 ounces of oil came out as 18.48 ounces of water & 8.032 ounces of lye. Today I typed in the exact same recipe and it gave me the same water amount but 7.186 ounces of lye. Can anyone calculate this manually & let me know which is the right amount of lye? Also will the soap I made with 8.032 ounces of lye be safe? Both recipes have the 5% super fat/discount. THANKS SO MUCH FOR ANY HELP!
TallTayl
There was an upgrade between then and now. Clear your cache - at least do a Shift+F5 to refresh the page.
jade
Thank you! I didn't notice that "problem" note on the soapcalc. I did as you said & have the old amounts back.
