Beth
Looking for opinions on the clamshells from MillCreek. Thin/thick? Compared to Impact & eclamshell?
Jillsthings
I'm not sure what all suppliers use; which ones are Impact and which are eclamshell. I used to get mine from Candlescience, but now I get them from MillCreek as they are cheaper. They are thinner and taller. They are sometimes hard to pull apart and occasionally, if I pour them too hot, one or two will leak a little bit. Hope this helps! :-)
moonshine
I ordered a few from millcreek and then bought the impacts from the co/op on here not to long agoThe difference I notice but hardly between the 2 is MC is a touch smaller and a touch thinner but I didn't have issues with them at all using soy and pouring around
jenn624
I used the ones from Mill Creek initially, but now I prefer the ones from impact. They are thicker, I like the size better, they feel higher quality to me. I've tried eclamshell too, but I have noticed that about 3% of the clam shells I get from eclamshell, have pinholes in them, enough to leak when I pour. Mill Creek's are very nice though if you don't want to mess with co-oping for impact's or ordering a buttload at once.
Dolphin146
Right now I am using the ones from candle science. I really like that they hold 3 ozs of wax and not 2.8 ozs. They also don't have that smell.
