lmc
If a recipe calls for glycerin but you are adding some glycerin based liquid soap, should you still add the glycerin or reduce the amount? tia
Candybee
I would try it without the added glycerine first. See how you like it. Then you can always remelt it and add glycerine to it.For future reference; glycerine is what attracts moisture so if you plan to make and sell M&P soaps during hot summer months too much glycerine in your soap may cause it to attract moisture in the air and make the soap fuzzy, wet, clammy, slimy, etc. To avoid this, store soap in cool, dry, area; use less or no added glycerine; or package soon after making it to prevent moisture from getting on the soap.
