blacktieaffair
I was looking around the boards and saw a thread in the CP section about someone was having issues with black oxide in CP soap giving black bubbles and staining. Was wondering, does this happen in MP? Is there a particular black ( of any formulation, pigment, oxide, liquid, mica) that is better/best to use? I will have to be doing some "Saints" soap ( and my name Black Tie Affair ) I want to do some white and black marbled/swirled MP.TIA
Candybee
I think you are going to have trouble coloring any opaque base black. You can do it with the clear thou. If you go to the photo gallery there are some black soaps made with M&P there. Here is one by Kitn: http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?101528-Lumps-of-Coal-Soapand here are some cute ones by Annie:http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?102074-Fun-soap-for-my-techie-sons!You might send them a PM and ask how they were washing wise-- if they left any black suds etc. Edited January 29, 2012 by Candybee
blacktieaffair
O yeah! I have the clear , was going to use that. I re read my post and I skipped a thought . I was wondering if I could use a white base for part of the soap, and clear MP done in black. ( guess my brain worked faster than my fingers and I forgot to type that part out lol )
