TammyGCC
I have the scents maple butter and hot buttered rum. I have had a hard time getting them to burn proper I was wondering if any one else had problems with the scents? I think they smell great I just can't get the wick to burn good. I have used the ecosoya CB 135 and the nature wax vegetable wax. I have not yet tried the scents in my pillars. Only containers. I have not had this problem in any other scents. Help please. soshiegirl
Can I ask who makes the scents that you are using? I'm sure you know all scents are not "made" the same. Also, how much fragrance oil are using per lb? Are you using any other additives? What type of wicks are you using?
jonsie
What kind of wick isn't working for you?
Scented
You might want to give more information to get some help. What wick have you tried, size of jar you're burning in, what other sizes of wick have you tried, someone mentioned the FO supplier. How much FO to pp of wax etc.
TammyGCC
Candlewic is the name of the scent company. I don't think that is the issue all the other scents I have tried and tested burn fine. Same containers same wicks every thing. I use half a ounce of fragrance per pound of wax. I actually have went bigger on my wick size. I have been doing this for 3 years and have never encountered this problem. That is why I think it has to do with butter in the name. Scented
Is it their concentrated blend (which I think they say you can use less for it), because I'd say to up the amount of FO and see what it does.
coconut
Are these "butter" oils heavy oils? I weigh my oils in a marked container. With a light oil, an ounce on the scale is also a measured ounce by the mark, but with a heavy oil, an ounce on the scale will be short of the mark. I battled heavy oils for years and finally went with a different wax with a higher melt point so I could wick up enough. I also tried several different kind of wicks before finding one that worked for me.
