jluper7297
I placed my first order from Peak which should arrive on tuesday. I ordered IGI 4630A container wax, 9 oz hex jars and the zinc core wick sample pack. Can anyone offer advice on a starting point on wick size for testing?? jluper7297
Thanks! I had seen that once before and couldn't remember for the life of me where I saw it!
HorseScentS
Candlescience has a wick guide that is good for a starting point.http://www.candlescience.com/learning/wick-guide.phpI like the Candlescience wick guide, but I don't think they have zincs on it because they don't carry zincs. For a 3" diameter hex container, I think the 60z is the one that might work in parrafin. I just found another wicking guide the other day that had zincs, I'll try to find it and post the link here... HorseScentS
Here's a wick guide with zincs, scroll down to "Zinc Core Wick," & click on "Wick Recommendation Chart": http://www.wicknclip.com/products.html
HorseScentS
& here's Peaks Wicking Guide which is good & easy to understand. Scroll down to the list of wick types & click on the type of wick you want to use, it will take you to the chart with the diameters: http://www.peakcandle.com/category/Wicks.aspx
