Rememberance Hurricane

Recommended Posts

A neighbor wants me to make a hurricane for her to give in-laws as a Christmas gift. The gentleman it's of passed near Christmas last year. She gave me the picture she wants used, but she also want some kind of verse on the back. She has no idea what she wants it to be, but something along the lines of "you'll be remembered..." or something. She doesn't want it to go as far as a memorial type with the dates though. Anyone have any suggestions of a short poem or verse that could be used? I'm terrible with words and have no idea what to write on it :undecided

Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glint on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,

I am the swift, uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circling flight.

I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.

I am not there, I do not sleep.

(Do not stand at my grave and cry.

I am not there, I did not die!

Mary Frye (1932)

My favorite!
