Babyv
Has anybody seen this? Kinda interesting. Seems you decide how long you want the candle to burn (20 min per inch above the coil).http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=748402&destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fproduct.jsp%3FproductId%3D748752%26type%3Dproduct%26WT.tsrc%3DCSE%26WT.mc_id%3Dshopping%26WT.z_mc_id1%3D748752%26rid%3D40%26mr%3AreferralID%3D7fc169e6-5963-11e0-a86a-001b2166c2c0&WTz_l=YMAL%3BIK-629970
Candybee
Looked interesting til I read the mixed reviews. Seems it doesn't always work properly. The wick malfunctions or you have to coddle the candle to keep it going. Doesn't sound promising to me.
ChrisR
Those have been around for years and have never worked right, so don't waste your money!
Babyv
@Candybee - It did sound interesting but I would hate to have to mess with the candle all the time. I didn't read the reviews before posting.
Alajane
I bought one for myself and one for a gift several years ago. I really enjoyed it for a while--and my SIL had lusted over mine, so I got her one for Christmas. I bought them when they were on clearance at HSN for around $7 each (with free shipping!!), so we definitely got that much enjoyment out of them. It was quite a conversation piece--of course, everyone who saw mine wanted to know if I had made it! The ones I bought were the horizontal style (middle picture on the above-referenced website). Dana
Oh is that what that is?! I saw one at the Goodwill and didn't know what it was! I will go back and see if it is still there.
MOOdY_Girl
I think they are really neat. I like the rustic look to them and I especially LOVE the hurricane one.
simplybeelightful
they say the candles are 100% beeswax. Beeswax is a very hard wax so I'm wondering how they are going to "unroll" to burn. Seems to me they would have to be a beeswax blend.
